"Why are veterans important to our Nation's history and future?" Many people believe that veterans are very important to our past, present, and future because of all they have done. There are many reasons that veterans are important, but the main thing to remember is that they made the sacrifice to make sure we stayed free. I've noticed that many veterans from major wars have been passing at an extremely high rate, and to add onto that they haven't been getting the recognition they deserve. They have changed the nation to make it what it is. A very well known reason that veterans are important to our past is that they shaped the nation toe not only make it but keep it free. They learned to use the environment against not only against the enemy but against the environment itself to survive. They used their mind to solve incredibly difficult situations or problems. Without veterans, face it the world would be different it wouldn’t be as free as it is. I know that it's not completely free due to I.S.I.S. the "Muslim" Ultranationalist group and others like it. If we hadn't helped with world war two Hitler and Stalin would have crushed the allies and they may have moved to us next. After Kim IL Sung had invaded South Korea in nineteen-fifty which started the Korean War, if we hadn't intervened South Korea would have been under communist control. Without us going to Kuwait they wouldn't have survived the invasions from the Iraqi soldiers. There is a very legitimate reason that they are important for our future, which is that they bring you the knowledge from their mistakes and new ideas from their experiences. Have you ever sat down with a family member or just a random veteran
We honor our veterans because every day they put their lives on the line to protect our country; to preserve the freedom of this great land. Without question, without hesitation, these brave people come forth every day to help defend the 350 million people
On July 28th, 1914, the first war was brought to our world. All because of an assassination. At this time, we thought the only resolution was war and that war would save us. Among the years, we have bounced between different war periods and times where people just want peace. There is a time that we need to fight for our rights and stand up, but there is also a time where we need to stand down and just deal with what is going on. Because of our veterans, most of the world has been living in peace because our soldiers fight the wars for us and there is so much thanks in the world for that. It is so very wrong that there are veterans out there that are homeless or are even struggling to get food. Not to mention all of the medical bills because of former injuries while serving our country. There is no reason they should have to worry about the cost of an injury that happened when they were serving our
Veterans are important because they have given us our freedom from tyrants for the past 237 years. Vets fought against the oppressors from of England during the War of Independence and the War of 1812. They continue to fight today! The estimated amount of casualties from the War of Independence was around 50,000! That means over 50,000 people died to stop England’s tyranny, in just one of two wars! In attacking Americans in the War of 1812, England sent ten times as many troops in just the last six months, than they had during all the years before. That is how much the greedy British wanted to steal the United States of America from us! Had the Veterans not stood their ground, we would all be French
Those who are veterans are those who fought in the wars and those who leaded the troops. Today we honor those who are no longer with us and those who are. We honor them because they fought and saved us from rivalries that were careless about us but our veterans stood up for us until we were safe. If you read history books about the american war you might’ve found that some men were under a lot of stress while training. But the thing that makes them special is they were the brave ones, some men didn’t meet the standards required but some men started training lifting those weights to meet those standards and try again. There are wise and caring people in the world and some times you may have to look for them because they are out
As a nation, we need to be thankful for our veterans. The men and women who join the military undergo nine weeks, or more, of boot camp. That right there is said to be the most laborious nine weeks of anyone’s life. Drill sergeants break them down both emotionally and physically, so they can improve upon them and make them stronger. Those are the people we should be thanking, the ones who fight to preserve our country’s freedom, equality, and the pursuit of happiness. Those are the fundamentals of our Constitution that those people fight to protect. However, after their service, it doesn’t seem like people know that.
Honoring our Veterans is so important. They fought for us and some died fighting for peace. Veterans Day is also known as Remembrance Day, a day to remember those who died, but also celebrate those who fought on and lived through the battles. We should keep honoring our Veterans because war is not over. We still have people fighting for us right now. Veterans has been celebrated for so many years and in 1938, the day had so many ceremonies and parades that Congress marked it an official holiday.
Our flag stands tall and people say that it blows with the last breathe of every soldier who has given their life to our country. On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day on the eleventh month in 1918 an armistice occurred. This soon became a federal holiday in 1938. Veterans are important to our past and future because they stand up for what is right. They put their life on the line to help defend our country. Although they have families of their own, they have stepped up to defend everyone elses family in the U.S. too. Veterans fight for our country and we should be very grateful for them.
Throughout US history, many wars and battles were fought that marked America. Fighting within those wars were brave soldiers, which to this day, we know as veterans. Veterans are important to our nation's history and future, as they have contributed to make America the great and prosperous nation that it is today. Veterans, along with other respected groups of people, deserve the nation's uttermost respect for all the contributions they have made to this country known as America.
The men and women who helped shape the face of this country through their honor, legacy, and patriotism are those we call veterans. They are our dads, moms, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters; they are our family. Yet, we constantly overlook their desire and passion for this country. The gratitude that they deserve is not shown towards them, as it should be. I thank all veterans for their
It is important to remember how much of daily life is affected by the work of veterans. Walking on streets, going to school, eating at restaurants, and hanging out with friends all depend on the service of veterans. They may not receive the proper amount of recognition from the younger generations, but their work is appreciated. In actuality, they gained vital information that can be shared with the future generations. They have gained respect and honor for their duty for our
People often say that freedom is not free and that price has been paid by countless brave individuals. These brave individuals are known as veterans. Veterans should be remembered, respected and honored because of their sacrifices, courage, and patriotism.
To begin with, veterans are the reason why we still prosper and have freedom in the United States of America. However, on an article about veteran employment the
All military veterans make sacrifices, and fight courageously for our freedom. They protect our beloved county from disastrous peril. Veterans are one of the only reasons that we are safe, allowed to do what we want, and have free agency. They deserve to be honored and respected as amazing people who put aside everything for the country’s needs.
Veterans are important in my life because of a lot of things. I have a few
When I was asked what Veterans Day meant to me I didn’t have a specific answer. I could give the cookie cutter answer of to honor the men and women who fought for this country’s freedoms, but I wanted to go deeper. What makes these specific people so special and worth honoring? The reason may be because of the sacrifices they made or the bravery they showed; or it be for the tough times they have gone through and still have to go through. Maybe we owe them for not being just our moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandmas, and grandpas; but for going above and beyond what anyone could ever ask of them.
