Do you want to know what it’s like to go to Knott’s Berry farm? Well your in luck because I’ve been to Knott’s Berry farm and i’m going to tell you what it’s like to go to Knott’s Berry farm. When I woke up was very I excited because the field trip. I wanted to come to school early so I won’t be late for the field trip. When I was at school it was about 8:20. I couldn’t wait for the fields trip and then I thought to myself, I HAVE TO GO TO THE LOG RIDE (duh duh duh)! I know if you been there it’s not that scary and i’m just overreacting, well you’re wrong, I hate the log ride because of the drop. That’s pretty much the only reason why I hate the log ride, But let me talk about that later. SO we went into the bus and it started raining, I didn’t know that until someone told me. When …show more content…
After security we went to ghost town. Then we did the pledge of allegiance, pretty wierd starting off with the pledge of allegiance. When we finished it was time for the first fun thing we did, We went to a replica of a train station and train. The train station was fun until a robber came I was so scared I face was pale as a marshmallow. At first I thought it was real, but it was fake. Our class got to see how people made candle in the 1800s. So first you get a rope then you dip it in wax and let it cool in a bucket of cold water, pretty simple, but here’s the hard part you have to dip it in that about one billion times. That's an exaggeration but you know what I mean. Next our class went to find out how to make a horseshoe if you don’t know what’s a horseshoe search it
Have you ever had a good or bad event that you can never forget or is hard for you to forget? Well i have. It was my first time going to Knotts Berry Farm, and the events that followed that were fun and funny.
One summer day in July , Me and my friend Carol went to an amusement park called Cedar Point . Cedar Point is located in Sandusky , Ohio and two and a half hours away . My mom and me wanted to go on a ride called the Maverick . The Maverick is Cedar Point’s steepest roller coaster and its speed is 70 miles per hour . The Maverick also has a 95 degree drop ! Then we went in line and waited for about an hour and a half . It was about eleven o'clock when we got close to the front of the line . When we finally got to the roller coaster I regretted going on because it was very dark and I couldn't see where the drop was and I don’t like steep roller coasters . Because of that me and Carol where panicking the whole way up . As soon as we got to the
We left quickly walking fast and practically running toward the gondolas so we wouldn’t be stuck on the mountain all night long. By now the storm was close and so was the lightning. The people at the station loaded the four of us into a gondola and we slowly worked our way down the mountain. Hanging in this tiny box of metal by a hook on a wire cable was not the most reassuring thing. I looked out the window hoping to see the ground, but it was too dark. I could barely see the hand in front my own face. Lightning would flash, and all I could make out were the tops of trees. Paranoia overwhelmed me. My breaths seemed to become further and further apart as time slowed. As I was trying to relieve my mind of worst case scenario, a big flash and enormous rumble sounded. We stopped moving. Our gondola had
The back of the bus was loaded with suitcases that block the view of the back window with our stomachs full of Dream baskets cookies that christians mom brought us. We started our way to the Marengo Cave but first we meet up with Hamilton county and Alney at the indiana rest stop. We arrived at Marengo Cave at first I was worried about everything and anything about what could happen in the cave but once we went in it was awesome making memories, getting to learn about the caves history plus the charity they donate to, the beauty and a few cave jokes. One of the memories was when Gage and I were walking down this little incline (the incline was wet) Gage and I were walking about the time I slip I tried to hold on to Gage but then he slips but we caught ourselves. There is this one part of the cave where there is wet mud and people throw change to try to get it to stick and they tell people to not take any money because at the end of the year they collect the money for charity. The tour guide told us about two hundred feet under ground not to worry about the cave falling on us because if it did
When I was in 7th grade, the whole entire grade suggested that we should go on a camping trip. We had many places to choose from, but we all agreed on going to Yosemite. The reason we chose Yosemite is because we wanted people to stay away from their video games and electronics for a couple of days and actually enjoy what beautiful things God had made and what the outside world has to offer. It was an amazing trip and we did have many unforgettable memories. But one memory I had was on the second day of the trip, it was the day we started to do activities with our group leader. We hiked up a waterfall, played some games, and also took lots of pictures. It was a very tiring day and when we were finally done for the day, It was
I could have stayed there and watched little old Phoebe on the carousel all day in the damn rain. Finally, the goddamn rain stopped pouring so we decided to leave the park. We walked along the sidewalk and there were these 3 guys that were arguing about one guy stealing the other guy’s money. You can’t trust those phonies. It was almost three o’clock and school would be out. That means Phoebe would have to get home before mom notices that she’s missing. We took the subway home and the goddamn subway smelled like pee. I would probably catch a disease from all the germs and phonies on the subway. We eventually got to our stop and got off thank god- those goddamn phonies were giving me a headache. I wasn’t ready to go home, mom will probably yell at me and send me back to another boarding school and I’ll never see Phoebe again. They don’t care about me.
Then my brother, both my sisters, and parents got out of the car, and the first item I saw was advertising for the park. The advertising said “Hollywood Studios” and had a picture of a rollercoaster, and all I felt was butterflies in my stomach. The next day we woke up in the early morning to get ready so that we could arrive when the park opened. When we arrived, I could see all the rides and an enormous crowd of people swarming around trying to find the shortest line to enter the park the fastest. My sister grabbed me hastily and said “Come on, Alex, let's go get on The Rock N Roller coaster.” My parents walked with us, but they didn't ride the roller coaster, so my sister and I were the only ones from our family. As we waited in line, I felt mixed feelings shoot through my body. Then my turn came, and I slowly entered the blue seat of the ride and buckled up tightly, making sure nothing at all could get loose. On a screen the ride counted down, six, five, four, three,
Then That's when the anxiety kicked in. As the creaky cart started to go up the tracks creek creek as the cart went up. I kept my eyes open as I watched us go up. Once we reached the top I could see the beautiful day and the bright white clouds and the… aww as the cart went down, the cart was going so fast It was like I was flying a 100 miles per hour. All I could hear were screams of everyone and myself but mostly myself. Once we went down the big drop it was not that bad, I couldn't believe that I survived the drop that was normally the part I cried on. After the big drop we went in a big circle as it headed for the little drop we went down in the big circle as I had my hands up feeling free like a bird. Then the little drop hit you could hear the cart starting to speed up on the tracks again and I said “woh” and then the cart started slowing down again as we reached the station. We all clapped and said We SURVIVED! Once we exited the cart with are legs numb from all that excitement and impact we headed down to get some drinks and to discuss which to ride next, and that was the time I survived Six
As soon as we pulled up me and my brother Spencer jumped out of the car like we were bungee jumping, although I still kinda felt really sick, but there was no time to chicken out and ruin this perfect day so I sucked it up and went with it. We took the Six Flags bus to get closer to the park. The bus had a circle in the middle that spun so I asked my mom if I could sit there and she said, yes! They were sitting in the front of the bus where I couldn't see them but it didn't matter. I felt like I was already on a roller coaster because every time he would turn a corner I would go flying. I looked out the window and saw the most beautiful tree I have ever laid my blue eyeballs on, in my life. All I could think of is I will never see a tree that beautiful in my life! After what feels like an hour on the bus I get really sick and tired of the “pretend rollercoaster” so I look out the window to see another really pretty tree! “My goodness they have a lot of beautiful trees” I say under my breath and think nothing of it. A few more minutes go by and the
The vans would take us up to the top of the mountain, so we could ride bikes down from there. The van was crammed, hot, and muggy. The ride up the mountain seemed to take for ever. I realized eventually we were passed the timeline which meant trees could not grow any higher than that, and that was not the scariest part the fact they had no rails on the huge cliff. I was not to scared of the cliffs but my dad kept telling not to go faster than the cars. When we got to the top I was a little bit scared when I stood on the edge and looked down 250 feet or more. I also was shocked how cold it was in the middle of the summer up 14,000 feet. This was going to be
My dad had to stay home for work that weekend, so we said our goodbyes and waved as we pulled out of the driveway onto Cermak road. I looked at the GPS and it predicted a 5 hour car drive. I was not excited whatsoever for this because I do not like long car rides, but I knew that I had plenty of homework to do to keep myself busy. My sister put her headphones in and began to take a nap while I took my IPad out and began to work on the Biology project. I sat for about an hour editing and finalizing the video my group had created about the grassland biome. Then, I began to read my English literature circle book, Life of Pi. It began getting dark very quickly. After about a half hour of reading and annotating, I could not even see the pages anymore. I gave up on doing the rest of my homework, so I put my headphones on and turned on my Spotify Daily Mix to listen to the rest of the way there. I watched the landscape change from the oak brown forests in Illinois to endless farmlands in Indiana to the magnificent Lake Erie in Michigan. We took a narrow steel bridge over Lake Erie to get to Grosse Isle, Michigan. Once we crossed the bridge, we continued on the main road until it ran into Maise Court. My mom pulled up into the driveway and my friends, Josie and Allie, were already waiting there to greet us with their new dog
As I started climbing up the ladder, I kept looking down and seeing my classmates at the bottom. As I reached the start of the log, I could feel my knees shaking and my brain telling me ‘Don’t do it!’ I started walking across the log and I kept thinking that my feet would slip and I would fall to the ground. My heart felt like it was beating a million times a second. I walked nervously, my legs barely holding me up. They were shaking like a vibrating phone. I wanted to just jump off and get to the ground and leave this place. Eventually, I fought through all of the fear and regret that I had and got to the end of the log where the instructor brought me down and said “ let's go to the next
I woke up, it was Monday the first day of school at Cupertino Middle School. I got up and took in the eye shattering light from the Sun's burning rays, and got ready for middle school being careful to make every little detail perfect like my hair, shirt, and of course school supplies.
When I was going backwards emillee had to block me. And when we were going forward colin and maddie pulled my hair so i would’t fall down. When we were going around and around i felt like the ride was going to fall.
The rides entrance itself made my legs weak with sheer fear. The pathway was like a maze and then the stairs appeared to warn me, by saying turn back now. As I climbed each step I tried numerous times to escape. The escape attempts were foiled by my so called friends blocking the only exit. I said,” Come on guys I can die another day.” Audrey quipped,” Oh come on Taylor, man up and go on the ride.” Now I can’t really describe the feeling of having a woman tell me to man up. I said,” Ok I got this.” I shrugged off all my anxiety and nerves and just went with it.
