Why I M Obligated To Become A Nurse

In response to the advertisement on hired.durhamcollege.ca, please find attached my resume for the full time position of Personal Support Worker available at Fairview Lodge. As a soon to be Durham College graduate, I am seeking a position to utilize the skills I have learned from placement and from my very current schooling. I chose the Personal Support Worker program to not only work as a caring support worker, but also to start the process of being a Practical Nursing student.

When it came to choosing a nursing program/school that best fits my interests and the future of my nursing career, I researched a few of nursing schools and finally came to the conclusion that my best option is the University of Michigan School of Nursing. One of the major reasons for my desire to transfer to this nursing program is that it provides a comprehensive learning environment and prepares its students very well that they have one of the highest rates of its students passing the NCLEX. To succeed in both my nursing studies and my future nursing career, I need a school that will push me to the best I can be to achieve my goal to become a nurse, and I believe this program will do that for me. For as long as I can remember, I have always dreamed of becoming a nurse. There are bounteous reasons, one wants to become a nurse. A profession that has been around for over a hundred years. Nurses are recognized as strong working and fiercely conditioned television shows. They communicate uniformly and exhibit kindheartedness. A nurse leaves a permanent imprint on their patients who are forever gratified.

To truly be a great nurse, one has to possess compassion and morals. Finding significance and veracity is imperative in the nursing role, and the nursing metaparadigm has provided a transcending guide to achieve this greatness. As stated before, each concept of the nursing metaparadigm relates to one another in which they all embrace the objective of optimal health. The term wholeness is an impressionable description of the concept of person; wherein, understanding a person in their entirety and being able to relate to all aspects of the individual allows for empathetic responses to each inimitable situation. Previously, I felt adept with the person concept, but this course has provided depth and denotation of the evolving conception and will ultimately enhance my style of nursing. My former thoughts of the health concept were ambiguous and primarily discoursed that disease prevention was the means of achieving optimal health. Disease prevention is a minor element within this concept. Physiological, psychological, sociocultural considerations are taken into account to promote holistic healing. I have enriched my comprehension of the health concept and look forward to utilizing the welcomed knowledge as a nurse practitioner. My primary goal in life is to become a pediatric nurse. Ever since I was younger, I’ve been fascinated by the medical field and everyone in it. Some of my earliest memories were playing around with a toy doctor kit and poking the play needle into my mom’s arm until she said “ow”, which made me laugh and ask her if she needed any play medications. As I’ve gotten older I haven’t tortured my mom with the play needle anymore, but instead have frequently asked my family members who are nurses themselves as many questions as I can. Graduation from Nursing MSc at The University of Essex would open to me many doors. I know there are plenty exciting aspects of being a nurse, obtaining this qualification would mean possessing the key, unlocking these doors. Now, more than ever am I ready to take that chance, I feel thrilled thinking of what the course has to offer. I am so enthusiastic thinking of all these new skills to be gained and work placement opportunities. Since my early school life, I have a belief that every success comes through education. In spite of the fact that health care profession is the one that needs to be staffed with well-educated healthcare professionals. In fact, nursing is a lifesaving profession through which people get the necessary nursing care that can enable them to get back to their healthy circumstance. As a health care profession, nurses have been doing a tremendous and remarkable works at different places they care for their patients and this has impacted the health care services rendered to a care seeking patients. The way the nurses give a care to their patients is not limited at the health care facility, but also outside any health care facility and this created a good opportunity to have accessible healthcare service, especially for those who cannot go to a health care facility. It is this reason and other facts which make nursing to be the most trusted health care profession.

General Framework Diabetes has been a part of my life since the age of five years old. I learned from a very small age about the disease that I have. I have learned how to lance my finger for blood sugar levels, fill syringes, load cartridges for an insulin pump, and give daily injections to myself. Every year there are advancements aids that make living with diabetes easier. I have gone to doctors and specialist all of my life.

As I am the eldest child, I would often look after my younger brother, who has asthma and this has led me to have the aspiration to be able to nurse children back into good health. Nursing is not just a job, it is a lifelong devotion to support and help children that are depending on you. You need a positive and caring attitude. Being a successful and well respected child nurse involves you being resilient, flexible, understanding and compassionate; qualities which I believe I have. These are very important qualities because being a child nurse is a challenging yet rewarding career.
