My desire and passion to study an adult nurse was established after I begin BTIC first diploma in Science. Adult nursing is a very challenge healthcare occupation, and yet a rewarding profession in which you never stop learning. I have always shown a growing interest into a dynamic career where there are a lot of challenges involve every day and adult nursing is the occupation that will allow me the opportunity to work in a fast pace modern environment- one that saves many human lives. In addition, as a nurse you work tireless with very sick patients and their families when they are in their darker time and this is what attracted me towards their profession. I am very caring, patient, sensitive, sympathetic, and also have a genuine
Throughout my four years of college, I wanted to learn about myself and the world. I did not want to follow a particular path or be strict with myself. Now, as a graduate I discovered my passion for health and helping people. I want to volunteer at New York Methodist Hospital because I want to learn more about health while getting to help people feel at peace during a difficult time in their life. I am ready to learn and I am ready for a new experience. I want to learn from accomplished individuals and further my knowledge in health for when I decide to go to nursing school. At the age of 5, I had to help my grandma because she could not walk due to arthritis of the spine and knee. At a young age I learned how one person can make a difference
Nursing is an excellent career choice, where an individual acquires great gratitude while attending to others necessities. If someone is constantly trying to improve themselves and wanting to be challenged in life, “as nurses, we face tremendous challenges and often see and do things that are extraordinary” (Ulrich xix). By becoming a registered nurse the individual will make a difference. Nursing allows an individual to continuously be benefiting a fellow human being, not only with the patient but with their families as well, having the opportunity to becoming someone especial in the patient’s life. Nursing is a
"The two most important days in your life are the day you were born, and the day you find out why." -Mark Twain. That has been a favorite quote of mine for as long as I can recollect. Some people spend their entire lives never knowing what it feels like to be able to earn a living while at the same time fulfilling their passion or dreams. However i would be lying if i was to say that i don 't understand why. I am thirty one years of age, and deciding to make a career change and leave the job that provides a security blanket, to pursue the job that provides me with a purpose is exhilarating but nonetheless terrifying. When asked the question "Why do you want to become a nurse?" I could answer the same way that everyone else does by saying what it is I anticipate you want to hear or i can answer with my heart, I choose the latter. While a sizably voluminous part of my zealousness for nursing is centered on helping people, it goes much deeper than that for me. I have always believed that i should pursue a career that i would be proud of. That if a stranger was to ask me what i do for a living, I can answer them with a sense of pride, confidence and self admiration. Nursing would give me that. The path that has lead me up to this point in my life hasn 't always been the the most rewarding but i did what many of us do, settled. Just letting the years pass by, and getting no closer to reaching my goal. For most of my adult life i have been in the restaurant industry working as a
My ambition is to graduate St. Francis College as a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in the upcoming years. Although majoring in nursing will not be easy, I feel I am prepared for the challenge. At this time in my life I cannot see myself majoring in anything else. As a young girl, with a mother working in the medical field, I was always fascinated going to work with her. Working in a doctor’s office these past two and a half years myself has given me much experience with patients and has made it more to clear to me that this is what I want to pursue as a career. I wish to be a nurse because I seem to get a feeling of warmth and internal satisfaction when helping those in need. I have begun to learn that medicine is not the only cure for people’s ailments. It is the care they receive by those around them whether it is in a hospital, nursing home, or even their own home. This is where I believe that I can make a great difference in people 's lives by helping them recover.
I have a lot of dreams. Dreams to change the world and do great things. My first dream is to receive my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, followed by working as a nurse for a few years to gain hands-on experience. Second, I intend to further my education by obtaining a Master’s degree and working on improving my skills, knowledge, and understandings of the nursing field. I want to be a nurse anesthetist. They administer anesthesia to patients. When I eventually retire, I intend on giving back to future generations of nurses by becoming a Nursing Instructor, educating them and watching them grow and develop into the best-equipped nurses they can be. As a result of my experiences in life, I am more mature, grounded, and I realize that even when
One of my talents is that I have a big interest is in nursing,i've been wanting to become an RN since 7th grade. Not only do they get paid good they get health benefits, but they also get to help distribute medicine to patients. Most Rn’s work at hospitals and that's where I plan on working,it's the best place to start because you usually get a lot of patients and you get to learn a lot about many illnesses and conditions.Aside from that this has been one of my passions since I made it into high school, I took a few classes that lead me to be graduating, with a nursing sponsor and hopefully a CNA.This is my 1st year taking this CNA class and it's very exciting, i've had experience assisting at the Northeast Baptist hospital and now taking this
Nursing is an ongoing passion of mine. I am applying for the course Adult Nursing (BSc). I have looked after my 93 year old Great Grandma for quite a few years as she is unable to do many things for herself, I've always loved doing that and seeing how happy it makes her when she has me around to do that. I have always loved the idea of becoming a nurse since she got admitted into hospital two years ago for a short period of time as I saw how lovely the nurses were there and how they made her feel so comfortable. It made me so pleased how well they looked after her managed to keep her so happy the majority of time.

I began preparing for enrollment in the Associate Degree in Nursing Program at Hartnell College in 2012 when I earned an associate degree from Cabrillo College. After completing the nursing prerequisites, I also attained a bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University. As a result, I developed strong communication and time management skills, which helped me succeed as a student.
From a very early age I have always looked upon Nursing with respect and have cherished the idea of working with different people, helping them and working as part of a team to make a difference. Nursing my father through terminal illness further heightened the passion I had in me to work with vulnerable people. This insight of misery at an early age gave me the effort to search for a career that passed on the direction to fulfil my dream job. I studied my BTEC LEVEL 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care which deepened my understanding in essentials of Science. I loved the units that concentrated on Physiology especially human regulation and reproduction system as I was captivated to identify how the body works.
I came to United States of America on July 2015, when I arrived here I never thought to come back to college . I only thought that a have to work very hard to achieve all my goals, in that moment my goal were help my family and bring them to this country, but I changed my mind, because I saw that studying a carrier will be easier for me to achieve my goals and now I have one more goal, it is to become a nurse and work as a nurse.
In fact, there are several reasons why I chose nursing as my profession. First and foremost is that I want to focus on changing people’s lives (Nurse Journal, 2016). As a nurse, I would study the life's value when I would be seeing individuals struggling to remain alive. Since I am fully aware that each life's breadth is a gift, I would, therefore, understand this lesson further as I would be nursing various patients daily. I greatly respect human life, I possess strong values and I am compassionate for empathy and suffering, factors that have further attracted me to the nursing profession. Second, nursing profession allows continuous learning. As I like learning, I would possess unlimited opportunities for advancing my medical knowledge. As such, I would capable of choosing to work in various departments, train to become a medical assistant and as well enter the nursing management where I would grow and mentor new nurses through sharing my knowledge
I came into the nursing program as a caring person and I love helping others which has always been why I wanted to be a nurse. I never knew how profound that caring could be until finishing the program and learning everything I have learned. I learned that caring in the first semester meant that you had a basic knowledge of how to care for patients such as basic physical exams and just taking the time to talk to them as though they were your family. With each semester I developed deeper levels of caring by making sure that not only I understood their disease or illness that the patient did as well. I cared that they had the knowledge and tools to help control their disease. I cared that they understood the need for new medications or physical
I have worked as a nurse for 31 years. I began my career as a newly wed. Graduating one year after our wedding. We were living in Michigan and after graduation we decided to move back to Indiana near my parents to start my career and our life together. My first job was at Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond, In. I worked on an Orthopedic Surgical Floor. It was fast paced and I was enthusiastic to learn everything I could and be an excellent nurse. I attended every seminar and learning opportunity I could to improve myself and achieve excellence. The first couple of years were challenging. I learned to face the staffing issues, being short staffed was a normal. The stress of trying to meet my patients needs effectively and efficiently while completing
Nursing is such a diverse, challenging and worthwhile career that I know is the right course for me. In my teenage years I provided support to my father when he was diagnosed with diabetes this involved looking after his diet and administrating medication. Soon after he suffered from a heart attack at home where he was diagnosed just after 20 minutes, witnessing the signs and symptoms was a frightening time for me. The fear or loosing my loved one gave me insight of what other people felt and this is when I had decided to pursue a career in Nursing. My desire to complete a course in Adult Nursing was established after my first placement on a hospital ward where I had discovered the two rooms for patients require end of life care. I observed the nurses and doctors as they stayed emotionally strong and
