My reasons for taking this course first and foremost is it’s a requirement towards my BSN. Secondly, in nursing, we take on many roles and leadership is one of them. Learning about leadership and nursing management can only benefit and improve what leadership skills I currently have.
My background, in general, is very diverse, I’ve explored many areas of nursing in my short career as a nurse. I’ve been a nurse for only 12 years. I started working on the transplant unit as a new grad. I worked on the unit for close to two years. I’ve also worked, MICU, Methadone Clinic, Sub acute Rehabilitation but for most of my career I’ve worked as a Peri-operative Nurse as a scrub /circulator and currently as a Clinical Documentation Nurse. I haven’t
Helping others has been something that has always brought great joy into my life. I love the satisfaction I get from knowing that I’ve made someone else happy or feel better. In fact I got a job that allows me to do it all the time, and plan to have a career that does the same.
It is not a crime to dream. Every individual sets high exceptions for what career they want. Some dream of becoming the President of the United States of America, a scientist, or even a therapist. I want a career where I can make an impact on the world. My whole life revolves around wanting to work in the medical field. My dream is becoming a nurse practitioner. I want to help care for people, their families, and to work in the field where everyday is different. I want to hold the family members hands and tell them that everything is alright. I not only want to make a difference in the lives of my patients, i also hope to make a difference in the nursing and medical field in general. to achieve the dream of becoming a nurse practitioner, I must drop the habits that hold me back and slow me down right now. Bad habits not only slow my progress my habits but also keep me from moving forward. Giving up too soon, my lack of focus, and my perfectionism hold me back in everyday life.

Helping people, or connecting to people even in their most vulnerable state has always been enjoyable for me. I have always been an empathetic person, putting others needs before my own. Because of this, I plan on furthering my education by attending a four-year college and pursue a major in nursing. This will help me better my skills in the long term and enable me to do something that I will enjoy. Although, one can’t deny how hard it is to obtain a degree in nursing but I believe that in life, the sky’s the limit and no matter how difficult our aspirations are, we should truly aim for them.
I was very popular in high school, because I was very nice and sociable and involved in lots of activates we had. I did not bully kids because I knew how it made me feel when I was younger. I joined a group called S.A.D.D and that stood for students against destructive discussions. We reached out to kids who felt alone and students who lacked the self-confidence. After I graduated my goal was to attend a community college not too far and not too close. So I chose Kirkwood. I wanted/ want to be a registered nurse. I was very determined in high school, I made sure I was on honor roll every semester! I did not have a social network because I saw all the drama it cause in school.
To become a registered Nurse, there are a few things that you will need to know and need to know how to do. As a person wanting to pursue in this career I have done research. A lot of the information I have found is very helpful. A fun fact I learned about Nursing is that nursing industries are booming and is one of the fastest growing career.
I choose to pursue a career in the nursing field because i was perviously a medical assistant for a while working in pediactric doctors office and loved it , so i felt to need to further my education by enrolling in nursing school to become a practical nurse. My plan is to work as a practical nurse for a while then return to school to pursue a career as a registered nurse. There are several reasons why this career is the right one for me I love to make difference in peoples live and bring hope this is not something you can recieve in just any career field. Nurses can be versatile meaning work in just about any speciality and establishment for example schools hospitals, physicans office and governemnt agenices and long term care facilities this
In addition, every student should be obligated to follow all college professor’s instructions if they want to be successful. The only way I knew I could be obligated to my professor’s instructions was to focus on my goals. Therefore, I was not ashamed to ask a question when I did not understand a topic. For instance, when Scudder met his professor, he was ready to learn. In other words, I was determine, to master my writing skills, so I could become a nurse. My mind was made up to never give up and I looked at life completely different. That is the main reason why I was taking an English course because I wanted to master my writing skills and become a nurse, I knew I was obligated to follow my professor’s instructions because without my professor
Time dawns upon me to move and transform into the man my family hopes of becoming as I turn the new chapters of my life preparing for college. The constant pressure of preforming academically excellent and competing amongst my high school classmates displays the difficulty and challenges of a young adult seeking a better life. Throughout my years of learning and studying, I came to realize the valuable knowledge I’ve acquired and the future potential of increasing the betterment of society. From my current academic studies and the strenuous extracurricular activities performed during my high school career, I learned key aspects in life that taught me lessons in order to obtain success and achievement. Specific experiences across my past evoke my dreams of becoming an officer in the armed forces and also having a drive to become a nurse practitioner in the coming future.
Life is like a maze to me. A maze of lessons towards achievement. When I was younger, there was something more sacred within my innocence. The role of loving and caring was embedded into my soul, not my mind or heart. Most times when people pursue a dream, career, or activity, there is a reason they want it. In some way, it's beneficial. And not to say those motives are bad because majority of the time they're not. But they are conscience decisions of the mind and heart. My compassion was driven from my soul. I do not believe I chose the field of nursing, but nursing has chosen me. My mother always said I'd be a successful nurse since grade school. Growing up, I saw my mother who was a child caregiver her whole career, I saw the love and care
The nursing profession has been my main goal since I was high school student. The dream is rapidly becoming a reality as I am advancing through the profession phase of my college's nursing program. In my career, my ambition is provide excellent nursing care to each of my patients. Additionally, I hope to create a lasting impression to each individual (patients, family, co-workers) that I encounter in the field. My goals include collaberating with other healthcare providers to implement proper medical management, comfort, and constructive therapy. Once a registered nurse, I plan to apply to the emergency room at major hospital such as Capital Health or Robert Wood Johnson. This department will allow a novice nurse to expand their knowledge and
I would like to apply for a nurse internship position for the summer of 2017. I am an undergraduate student at Viterbo University currently working on my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I plan to graduate in May of 2018 with my BSN.
In fact, there are several reasons why I chose nursing as my profession. First and foremost is that I want to focus on changing people’s lives (Nurse Journal, 2016). As a nurse, I would study the life's value when I would be seeing individuals struggling to remain alive. Since I am fully aware that each life's breadth is a gift, I would, therefore, understand this lesson further as I would be nursing various patients daily. I greatly respect human life, I possess strong values and I am compassionate for empathy and suffering, factors that have further attracted me to the nursing profession. Second, nursing profession allows continuous learning. As I like learning, I would possess unlimited opportunities for advancing my medical knowledge. As such, I would capable of choosing to work in various departments, train to become a medical assistant and as well enter the nursing management where I would grow and mentor new nurses through sharing my knowledge
As I am the eldest child, I would often look after my younger brother, who has asthma and this has led me to have the aspiration to be able to nurse children back into good health. Nursing is not just a job, it is a lifelong devotion to support and help children that are depending on you. You need a positive and caring attitude. Being a successful and well respected child nurse involves you being resilient, flexible, understanding and compassionate; qualities which I believe I have. These are very important qualities because being a child nurse is a challenging yet rewarding career.
anesthetist in any hospital in California. In words this might seem easy but these are long steps that I must overcome in order to get to start my career. In life you cant achieve something great things without taking the measures of hard work and time nothing comes to you fast but you must work on it slowly and with hard work. I am willing to work hard and put in my time to become a nurse anesthetist. I live my life with many mottos but one motto I also will always have in mind the statement that Brooke have told us that nothing in life is from point a to point b.
