Reading The Goal will certainly impact my perspective as a supervisor or manager in my future career. Although I am unsure as to the type of company I will eventually work for, I will be able to implement several of the concepts I learned in the book. First of all, I will know how to go about eliminating or reducing bottlenecks. Secondly, I will focus on the performance measurements that matter most when working toward the goal of making money. Lastly, I will work toward building a strong team to work with in finding solutions to system or production issues. No matter the managerial or supervisory career path I take, I will surely face bottlenecks along the way that will affect the overall profitability of the company. However, I now know

When I think of my career goals, I ask myself what I want to accomplish in life. I know that I love helping patients and families, and I want to continue to do that. I always am changing my mind on what I want to do after my BSN. I don’t know when or if I will get my masters or continue to work at the bedside for a while. I love what I do and what I do for other people and families. Working in the critical care unit feels like home. I get to do what I love.
Going to college has been a dream of mine growing up. I am the first ever in my family to go to college but figuring out how to pay for it has been a challenge. I desire to achieve my academic and career goals and this scholarship can help me succeed in my journey.
The Goal, written by Eliyah Goldratt and Jeff Cox, is a 40-chapter book. It is a novel that tells that story of a businessman that is in charge of a plant. This book is more like a business textbook, but is very interesting and easy to understand because is written as a story. As an operation management student, I think this is a very educative book, because it gives you real life situation examples that could happen to anyone. There is a lot to learn from this book.
“Sport is the force that unites and empowers us to be better, no matter how you look, what you believe or what language you speak.” These words of Olympian Simone Biles illustrate my life-long passion for sports and the science behind it. I had been an athlete all my life and planned on continuing my track and field career at the collegiate level before a critical injury switched my focus from athletics to academics. When I began my studies at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, I knew my future would involve helping athletes grow to their fullest potential in strength, athleticism, and overall health. Having majored in Health Science with a focus in Health and Wellness Promotion and a minor in Nutrition, I would now like to concentrate on Strength and Conditioning.

My academic goal is to graduate Argosy University with a bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology in three years time. Forensic Psychology is the study of the criminal mind, in a nutshell. The main motivation to achieve this goal would be intrinsic. I love asking questions and knowing the answers as to why people do what they do, and in a criminals case, what led them to committing the crime. This goal, however, may have some extrinsic motivation as well. Being knowledgeable about certain behaviors that criminals poses may help solve or even prevent a crime. In addition, having a degree will help open different paths in life, ones that may present me with greater job opportunities. My attitude toward the learning process will help my achievement of each goal because I am eager, determined and motivated. My greatest desire is to succeed in life, and obtaining an education is one thing I know will help me. I perhaps will need to make some adjustments along my journey. I do not know yet if I will find another educational path that intrigues me the most. For now, I do not feel that any adjustments need to be made.
Throughout my professional career, I have had the privilege of leading, supervising and managing teams on many occasions. In each case, it was incumbent upon me to inspire and empower a group of individuals to work together, and obtain the cooperation of many contributing offices and subject-matter experts to ensure the success of a given project or service initiative. My experience as a liaison professional, coupled with my personal diplomacy skills, enabled me to communicate clearly and effectively, negotiate differences, and achieve consensus on a regular basis.
Knowing what I excel at has given me the ambition to rise to the challenge of earning a college degree. I have attempted on line school seven years ago and I had to make the difficult decision to withdraw from school when my family and financial obligations became overwhelming. I look back on that experience and have been able to analyze myself and now know what was lacking in my life at that time. I was not close with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I was attempting to control all the angles of my life alone instead of allowing the Lord to help me. In the midst of my struggle for control I was unsure of my own strengths, passions, and abilities. Since that time I have been working in the human services field as the assistant director of a local adolescent girls group home. Working with at risk
What does St. Pius - St. Matthias Academy offer you that will help you reach your future goals? What are your goals after graduating from PMA?
As a child my grandfather would often utter a quote that to this day can loosely model my career goals; “Shoot for the moon, son. Even if you miss you’ll land among the stars.” Like many, my short-term career goals at Y-12 are things like: aspiring each day to motivate and uplift those around me, giving my all to bring a more positive image to our work, and trying my best to learn all that I can from my brilliant colleagues. Long-term, my goals are to graduate from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, and a minor in Physics. While working at Y-12 after graduation, I hope to continue my education at The University of Tennessee Knoxville seeking a Graduate degree in Nuclear Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration. After graduation my hope is to continue work at Y-12 as a Nuclear Scientist until further opportunities present themselves.
When I was 6 years old I was asked what I wanted to do when I grew up. I answered like any other 6 year old with dream of saving the world by being a doctor. As I grew up I had critical surgeries because I had dislocated my hip while playing sports. I had my surgeries done in Shriners Hospital for children, there I saw many children with different orthopedic disabilities. This was when I realized that I want to focus in the orthopedic field to help out children like me.

The future is a time or a period of time in which we follow through from the moment of speaking or writing our intentions. It is a time that has yet still to come. The future is what we work for, to go through school and have a career, in order to have a better life. My parents have taught me to work hard for the things I want, and I wish to have a bright future. That is one of the reasons why I am here at CI, to get an education that will help me find a career with sufficient salary that will support me and my future family.
