Why I Want To Be A Veterinarian

When people look back at their lives, a lot of them would like to think that they made a difference. One of these ways is by caring for an individual who could not take care of themselves. It would bring this person a sense of happiness and great relief knowing that they have done something to change an outcome, or potentially save a life. "Being a vet tech is a rewarding and life changing expierence" (Holmes 46) . Not only is being a vet tech rewarding and life changing, but it can help the world become a better place by saving one animal at a time. For someone who loves animals and spending time with them, being a vet technicians is the most suitable career choice.

Ever since I was little I was told that I was going to be a veterinarian. Well not quite I think vet tech is more of my area. I love animals they amaze me, and I love dogs the most.

My legacy, the people I have touched, I have touched people my sister because I have prepared her through all of her grades and obstacles ahead of her and all of the little kids that I have played softball with an helped them for school tryouts.Some of my major accomplishments are in sports like making the school softball team in 6th grade and coming in second in our division another one is I worked as hard as I could and moved my grade from a C to a B.

Being a veterinarian doesn't mean dealing with lots of cute animals, it means helping them and making sure they don't get hurt. Veterinarians didn't start in America it started in France. The town doctors would also take care of the animals as well. It takes a lot of work to be a Vet there are stresses and hard work and dedication.

Every since I was a little girl I always wanted to be an veterinarian due to the fact that I love animals and I feel as if I have a connection with them. During my eight grade year of school I decided that I wanted to be and Equine technician. The reason why I wanted to be an equine technician is because for many years I watched My family's equine doctor operate on our horses and it really fascinated me and one day I was able to help out our doctor and I just felt as if this is what I wanted to do with my life. That's why in college I wanted to pursue an Animal Science Major as well as an Equine Studies or Equine Science Minor.

My long term goal to become a productive global citizen is to be a veterinarian and reach the goal of getting a doctorate in veterinary medicine. I hope to be at UC Davis, because they have a number one ranking, while specializing and are famous in their veterinarian program. I have also been there before, so I am more familiar with the place and it is close to home compared to other colleges or universities. By becoming a veterinarian, I want to advance in the health and care of animals, the health of the environment, and public health. The first day of my sophomore year put a halt in my previous plans to go to school to become a veterinarian. Every two years in my small high school, our Spanish teacher puts together a trip through EF Tours to one of the many countries in our world. That year she had decided that Belize was the destination. Although I didn’t have a clue where the country was, I added my name to the list and six short months later I had arrived in the Central American country. It wasn’t anything like I had expected. One of the greatest challenges that I am sure to face in my future as a veterinarian is aspiring confidence not only in my clients, but also obtaining that confidence in my own diagnoses. When in the veterinary profession it is very important to create a good relationship with ones client. A relationship where the client feels secure and trusts you with their pet. It not only makes the owner feel good about placing their pets into the Veterinarians hands but it also makes treating the animal much easier. If the owner is relaxed the pet seems to follow suite. What do you want to be when you grow up? Well you can be many things, whatever you heart desires. For me I want to be a vet. Yes, a vet, a vet sounds really interesting to me. You get to work with animals and people at the same time.

In the future I plan to become a veterinarian. I’ve had a love for cats and other animals ever since I was a small child.

I aspire to become a veterinarian one day which is why I am choosing to study Biology. I have always been fascinated with the bond we share with animals. Even though you can't talk to them they seem to understand a lot more than we give them credit for. Animals get just as sick as humans, but unlike humans, they don’t have radiologists, pharmacists, or dentists, only veterinarians. A veterinarian has to be everything an animal needs. I can’t think of anything more rewarding than giving each animal as much time with their owners as I can.

After graduating and commissioning into the Army Reserves as a Secound Leutent in 2019, I am planning on getting my Masters in Public Health, with an emphasis on preventive medicine, and acquire a Doctors of Veterinary Medicine. After becoming a veterinarian and transferring over to the Veterinary Corp in the Army, I will hopefully get an additional job at the CDC.

What makes a Veterinarian career or job important? A student who researches the nature of a job, its working conditions, employment facts, the education and training, with the future job potential and earnings will be higher and more intelligent when figuring out a career they want. When doing a job like Veterinarian they are going to meet new people and be ready to learn new things everyday with the help of other people and animals.
