Why I Want To Pursue A Degree In College

I would like to attend college because I want to be successful in life, I understand it is getting harder to get a job with only a high school diploma and it is sure to get worse. My goals for the future include getting into a college with a good teaching and mathematics program, this could give me a variety of jobs and I was speaking to someone and they told me that people are looking out for women who have a degree in mathematics which will help me to obtain a good paying job.

I am writing to express my interest in the Program Coordinator position at Breakthrough Central Texas. I am interested in this position because I strongly believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to attend college and fulfill their dreams, but I also know that the playing field is not leveled for everyone. I want to work in an environment that empowers and supports the youth to reach their full potential and this position offers that incredible opportunity.

Media surrounds us, from the graphic design on our morning cellophane coffee cups, to the carefully designed spreads in the magazines we religiously read. The world of Media and Film is beautifully complex, and something which I strongly want to be involved with. I have always immersed myself in the world of Media, and have only ever felt truly satisfied when I’ve been involved in broadening my knowledge and understanding of the industry.

Before we began the interview, he showed me an in-depth family tree that a relative of ours had put together for our family. Living in America I am given many opportunities to pursue my education such as being surrounded by fantastic colleges and being the first person in my family to graduate high school and attend college.I am determined to have a great profession and make my parents proud. An important short-term goal is attending Mercer University for both undergraduate and graduate school with the most financial aid as possible My parents emigrated from India and came here with nothing. They have suffered through many hardships financially and personally to provide for my sister and I. Due to my dad’s health issues he is forced to retire and stay home. Our expenses solely rely on my mother’s income and the income I receive from my part time job. Since my family’s funds are limited, applying for financial aid is critical in order for me to attend college.

I would like to attend college because I thoroughly enjoy learning. I take great pride in my education; as a women in the twenty-first century, I am going to take advantage of the opportunities I have and educate myself as much as possible. Obtaining a college degree is also essential to thrive in the industry I would like to be involved in after college, the fashion business industry. I selected my major, business administration because I have curated and ran an online store since I was thirteen. I enjoyed the experience so much that I made the decision to pursue it as a career and not just a hobby.

It seems that this day and age, college is becoming a very crucial part of today's society. Without college it is very difficult to get a job in a field that you want to be in, but at the same time it is difficult for people without a degree to maintain their job. This is why it is very important for a person to complete college. Hutchinson Community College, like many other colleges, is working to prepare their students for life after they have graduated. Although there are many ways to improve a college to make people want to stay and finish their degree, the college should be aware of the students’ desire to finish the degree before they are accepted.

After graduation, I want to attend either Bradley university, Lewis university, or University of Illinois at Chicago with intentions of receiving my bachelors degree in either mechanical or civil engineering. I have intentions to attend college for the sake of my future and my family. Being the first one from my clan to attend college would surely make the trials and tribulations both my parents undergo worthwhile. It would be helpful for me knowing that I would not have to live such a difficult live like my father, who lives paycheck to paycheck every week. I hope to make attending college possible by raising as much money dedicated towards my education so that my student debt does not overwhelm me. In order to do that, I must continue to

Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to attend North Dakota State University. Both my sister and dad are NDSU alumni, so furthering my education where they did gives us something special we can share. Additionally, not many of my relatives attended college, allowing me to see the difficulties in providing for yourself and family without a college degree. Although I know the next seven years are going to be challenging, strenuous, and will push me to the edge of my comfort zone, the satisfaction of administering medical services to those who need them will make it all worth it. Not only will I be able to care for others with a Pharm. D., but my own opportunities will grow. Whenever I get discouraged during the coming years, my mantra will be “college is an investment in myself,” a reminder to keep working hard.

Why Colorado Christian University In 1979 I enlisted in the US Navy. I was in college and wanted to complete my education. While in the Navy I always said to myself I will finish college someday. I got married and it seem that that goal will never happen. Years when by, then in 2000 I when back to school, worked hard and received my Associate degree in Accounting. Work at the County of Orangeburg as Purchasing Clerk for 9 years. The goal of getting a BS degree can up. But it was on the back burner again. I just did not had the time, coaching high school football, job, Church all was too much at that time. BY this time I had Kids in college, seem like the dream was over then. In 2011 I enroll at Colorado Technical College, for a year did not complete.

The decision to pursue secondary education has always been a goal throughout high school. As a successful high school student and a potential first-generation college student, the idea of successfully obtaining a degree not only would fulfill personal satisfaction, but also expectations held by my parents. Within my senior year of high school in South Carolina, I was greatly interested in becoming an aerospace engineer; a very admirable profession in the eyes of my parents. After carefully considering Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech, I ultimately settled for Blacksburg to become a Hokie. Unfortunately, the college lifestyle was too overwhelming and I had to withdraw after my first year. This moment was very disappointing for myself and parents. However, I knew I couldn't give up the possibility of a college education, so I entered the workforce with the thought of going back to school when I was ready and prepared. Initially, the motivation was within myself, but later in life I learned that the significant people to build on that motivation was going to be my family and employer.

I was raised in a very negative household, filled with alcoholism, mental abuse, and financial turbulence. As a child I did very poorly in school, and often failed classes because I was so angry and withdrawn. To my knowledge, my teachers did not know about my home life.

I am still trying to figure out is how I will pay for college and therefore am not sure what I need the my financial aid package to look like in order for me to be able to attend Lycoming. While I hope to collect the money I have earned from working during high school, I do not know if I will have access to this when I move out.

A significant conflict I have encountered within my mere seventeen years of life is a presumably common one, obtaining an adequate score on my ACT. I realize this conflict seems to affect many students attempting to attend college as I am, but the lengthy process which led me to challenge the ACT has actually impacted me in, I would believe, a positive way. Now the reason I decided to undertake this daunting task was actually due to the fact that I did not score high enough on my SAT, or rather not nearly as high as I desired. Although my score failed to meet my expectation it was not, in statistical terms, a bad score. Though I was aware of such a fact, to me it was not a sufficient reassurance prompting me to acquire a divergent approach.

I have always been fascinated by the complex relationship between humanity and their environment. Our home, planet earth, faces future consequences because of our actions, or lack thereof. After discovering my passion for environmental stewardship, I have decided to commit to a conscious lifestyle. Because of this decision, I plan to study environmental science in college where I hope to develop my knowledge of our planet and catalyze my passion into action for the environmental movement. At college, I hope to gain a distinguished education and catalyzed passion. The most important reason why I wish to attend college is to gain a greater understanding of our home and how human activities affect it. Therefore, I can achieve a strong foundation to support my efforts towards a sustainable environment.
