1. Why do you want to attend college? (include your goals, possible major/minor)
I would like to attend college because I want to be successful in life, I understand it is getting harder to get a job with only a high school diploma and it is sure to get worse. My goals for the future include getting into a college with a good teaching and mathematics program, this could give me a variety of jobs and I was speaking to someone and they told me that people are looking out for women who have a degree in mathematics which will help me to obtain a good paying job.

I also try to remember that I should always say please and thank you because I am blessed to have some of the things that I do and I have so many great opportunities in front of me, which many people don't have. I also realize that not many teachers care about if you succeed or not ,but at CECHS I truly believe that they care about you and how you are doing in your class and I hope that they know how grateful I am to have that type of support.
I believe I am well organized, I plan things out the minute I receive them I don't like to waste time and regret that choice later in time. I have been told by many of the people around my I am organized and responsible, during my tenth grade year I would make study guides for even the smallest tests to make sure I would make the highest grade possible. I also try to turn in my assignments in as close as I can, the only reason I see that I wouldn't be able to is because of a legitimate problem and not just because I was too lazy to do the
I tend to over analyze every situation and put too much pressure on myself to excel. I am a motivated individual who believes in working hard to achieve my goals. I can often get lost in a crowd and will often trust people too easily to a fault. I try to be friendly to everyone and I am not quick to judge. I am unselfish and try to put others before myself.
I am writing to express my interest in the Program Coordinator position at Breakthrough Central Texas. I am interested in this position because I strongly believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to attend college and fulfill their dreams, but I also know that the playing field is not leveled for everyone. I want to work in an environment that empowers and supports the youth to reach their full potential and this position offers that incredible opportunity.
Responsibility to me is the passion that one must do what they know they need to do to succeed, because if they don’t they will never be able to do what they need to to take care of themselves. Responsibility is acting by yourself even if there is not direct incentive to do so because it is what one must do to succeed. When I finally became mature enough to understand the responsibility’s I had for myself and others that were apart of my team, I immediately changed my ways and my grades in senior year were over one whole grade point average compared to the two prior years. To be responsible in life is to be successful and if one can not be responsible in life then they will never reach their full
Media surrounds us, from the graphic design on our morning cellophane coffee cups, to the carefully designed spreads in the magazines we religiously read. The world of Media and Film is beautifully complex, and something which I strongly want to be involved with. I have always immersed myself in the world of Media, and have only ever felt truly satisfied when I’ve been involved in broadening my knowledge and understanding of the industry.

I am the type of person who always has a plan set up for their future, but I can also adapt and accept the changes that life brings. I have a creative side as well; I enjoy reading, writing and art. I use these subjects as inspiration to expand my ideas in and out of the classroom. Instead of always seeing black and white I like to look at different perspectives. I am a very curious person; I love to explore new places, cultures and subjects. I love to learn and I have a very positive attitude toward learning new subjects and concepts. I believe I am a fast learner too. I complete all assignments

When I was growing up I went through many hardships my father left me and my mom when I was only two I grew up not really knowing who my father was because he left when I was so young. Growing up all I wanted was somone to call Dad. Sunday comes again, and it's finally time to continue the weekly interviews with my grandpa. Before we began the interview, he showed me an in-depth family tree that a relative of ours had put together for our family. Being the tech savvy person that I am, I show him how to navigate around the application of our family tree. Then we began talking about our topic, fear.
I would like to attend college because I thoroughly enjoy learning. I take great pride in my education; as a women in the twenty-first century, I am going to take advantage of the opportunities I have and educate myself as much as possible. Obtaining a college degree is also essential to thrive in the industry I would like to be involved in after college, the fashion business industry. I selected my major, business administration because I have curated and ran an online store since I was thirteen. I enjoyed the experience so much that I made the decision to pursue it as a career and not just a hobby.
Some may have said you do not have to attend college in order to be successful. That may be true but that is a one out of five chance. The three reasons way I choose to attend college. The first is for football, I have always had big dreams of playing football on the college level. I kind of always wanted to be the superstar like in the movies, running out when they call my name and having my friends, family, and fans go crazy as they see me coming out the tunnel with music and smoke or fog. The second reason is for my family. Seeing the smiles on their faces as I tell them I wanted to go to college was a priceless moment of my life. The last reason is for my degree. One thing I will always remember is my grandmother telling me “ManMan as she would call me, baby listening to me I want you to get your degree ok cause no one can ever take that away from you. Take your education seriously baby”. So I made that my main focus in my life to make her proud of what her grandson is becoming and will have a college degree one day.
I want to go to college so I can learn and be prepared for the real world. College is a place where I can get a fresh start. I can be a better person by how I matured in high school and becoming the man I am. I can break out and be who I want to be because of some peer pressure I had in high school. I want to meet people that will be my friends for a long time. My Mom had a college friend over this weekend and they shared some stories with me and I want to be able to tell my kids stories with my best friend. College education will give me the opportunity to pursue and learn something that I love. College gives me the chance to have my own responsibilities. I want to show my parents that they raised a smart
Why Colorado Christian University In 1979 I enlisted in the US Navy. I was in college and wanted to complete my education. While in the Navy I always said to myself I will finish college someday. I got married and it seem that that goal will never happen. Years when by, then in 2000 I when back to school, worked hard and received my Associate degree in Accounting. Work at the County of Orangeburg as Purchasing Clerk for 9 years. The goal of getting a BS degree can up. But it was on the back burner again. I just did not had the time, coaching high school football, job, Church all was too much at that time. BY this time I had Kids in college, seem like the dream was over then. In 2011 I enroll at Colorado Technical College, for a year did not complete.
This year leading up to my first quarter at college has been filled with so much information, change, and learning. I believe the ultimate goal of going to college is to set yourself up for a bright future. Thanks to all the amazing seminars, presentations, and learning opportunities the Women Leader Forum provided to the Youth Women Leaders I believe I am on the right track. Thank you for allowing us to listen to such inspiring and successful women. As if that wasn't enough, you allowed us to learn firsthand from professional women leaders with a career that interests us. I was very fortunate to be given a mentor that was so willing to teach me and who worked in an office with other successful women who also served as mentors. Thank you for
I was raised in a very negative household, filled with alcoholism, mental abuse, and financial turbulence. As a child I did very poorly in school, and often failed classes because I was so angry and withdrawn. To my knowledge, my teachers did not know about my home life.
I am still trying to figure out is how I will pay for college and therefore am not sure what I need the my financial aid package to look like in order for me to be able to attend Lycoming. While I hope to collect the money I have earned from working during high school, I do not know if I will have access to this when I move out.
A significant conflict I have encountered within my mere seventeen years of life is a presumably common one, obtaining an adequate score on my ACT. I realize this conflict seems to affect many students attempting to attend college as I am, but the lengthy process which led me to challenge the ACT has actually impacted me in, I would believe, a positive way. Now the reason I decided to undertake this daunting task was actually due to the fact that I did not score high enough on my SAT, or rather not nearly as high as I desired. Although my score failed to meet my expectation it was not, in statistical terms, a bad score. Though I was aware of such a fact, to me it was not a sufficient reassurance prompting me to acquire a divergent approach.
