I wish to thank the NJHS (National Junior Honor Society) for nominating me for my successful academic averages and other capabilities. I take pride in knowing that I am honest, respectful, and that I show courtesy towards others.I follow the rules and I am a responsible citizen. I have worked hard to keep my grades at a high level and I am thrilled to know that i have been recognized for this accomplishment. I wish to lead by example and will not follow another person’s bad influences, therefore my friends are people with the same successful goals that i have set for myself. To officially become a member of the NJHS would truly mean the world to me. This would mean that all my hard work has paid off and perhaps this would help me in the future. …show more content…
The world and its people are not the only things that need assistance. We must not forget about the animals.Because animals cannot speak their concerns, we have to be their voice. There are animals roaming around homeless with no food or water and most of them have been abused. Animal lovers including myself, wont let this continue. Yes, there are many charities that have contributed to making animal abuse and neglect stop, but this issue hasn't been fully ceased yet. In result, I would like to support the non-profit corporation, ASPCA (the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). The ASPCA was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world to stop animal abuse and/or neglect. It was founded on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans and must be protected under the law. This organization is a no kill for space shelter. These are only some of the reasons why this organization is a noteworthy
I really think that I am very qualified for National Junior Honor Society. I have seen students of NJHS making things for the community and I always join or support them because I think that helping others is a need, not an option. I like helping people, I like taking leadership and I would like to encourage others to change the world, that’s why I think that I am eligible for NJHS.
About seventy nine percent of families around the world have an animal that they love and share their life with. Most families have either a dog or a cat. These pets are loyal, kind, and loving. We bring them into our homes and take care of them. There are some animals who aren’t fortunate enough to have a family to love and take care of them. These animals are abused and mistreated every day. The Humane Society Of The United States has made it their job to protect these animals and prevent this cruelty before it happens. They spend eighty percent of all of their donations on protecting these poor animals. I believe that these animals deserve a chance to escape these horrible circumstances and find a family who will love and care for them. If you donate you will be a part of these animals lives. You will be giving them a chance to be happy in life. You will be part of helping them find a loving
quote by John F. Kennedy, thirty-fifth president of the United States, shows that the National Junior Honor Society could do a great deal for me as a person, but I can contribute a great deal to this society as one of its members. I believe that I would be a substantial member of NJHS. I would enjoy an opportunity to be a part of this society. Also, I have characteristics that potential National a Junior Honor Society member would possess.
Thank you for your consideration of me as a candidate for the National Honor Society, it means a tremendous deal to me. I have worked extremely hard to earn my chance to become a member of the National Honor Society and this application resembles a small prize on the enduring path to success for me. I believe, as a member of the National Honor Society, I will be able to enhance my spirit of service and accomplish more service goals and projects. Although, I already have many leadership skills under my belt, I can only imagine the many more skills I will gain from being a member of the National Honor Society. I believe you can never stop learning.
It is a honor to be invited to join the National Junior Honors Society. I believe I have the qualities to be excepted. I am a leader, have good character, participate in my community through service, and a good citizen. Therefore, I should be accepted into the NJHS.
I have a passion to change people’s lives. Therefore I am deeply honored to have been chosen out of a few hundred to have the opportunity to be part of the National Junior Honor Society. This experience would teach me much more about being a leader. I feel I would be an important asset to your team, and I hope you will consider having
I may not be the best candidate for the next member of the National Junior Honor Society, but I certainly believe I could be a great addition! Overall, I am a great learner, leader and student. I have not had any major discipline problems since kindergarten! I have always had top grades and have been top of my class at some point or another. I have good grades that I always maintain and standards that I never lower. My character is not the best but it certainly isn’t the worst. I try to help out in my school or community when possible but regrettably I have not given much of my time to my school or community. At the end of the day, I am a good student, friend, son and brother.
First and foremost, I would like to thank the Faculty Council for the opportunity to be a delegate of the NJHS faculty council. For sure, I understand that to get into this council will not only take astounding grades, but also take great leadership and courage. If I become a member of the National Honor Society, I shall effectively utilize the chance given to challenge my limits of courage, leadership, and determination. I will endeavor to do my best in any occasions when the faculty council gives me the chance to prove this.
Have you ever been watching tv and the ASPCA commercial comes on, you know the one that has the song “Arms of an Angle.” The commercial makes you feel super sad for the poor animals that have been abused and victimized because of cruel behavior. They ask you to donate money to help these animals recover. What if when these animals do recover they were turned into Service animals. This is a matter of great concern in our community because we could help get most, if not all the animals adopted into a loving home. In order to understand the issue more completely, I looked at turning shelter animals into service animals. Other members of my Group project are looking at TNR/Euthanasia, Physiological aspects of owning a shelter animal, and Worldwide
It's an immense honor to be recommended for Troy High National Honors Society. This school has played a huge role in impacting me and shaping me into the person I am today, and I believe that person represents all the ideals of National Honors society. My grades are my utmost top priority in school. I'm confident that the academic standards I have set for myself say a lot about my character as well as it does about scholarship. I strive every single day to achieve and maintain an impressive academic record by committing time and dedication, not only in school, but outside of school as well, and I believe that my results reflect that. Not only do my grades exemplify scholarship and character, but my involvement in extracurricular activities/clubs
The overall mission of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is to “be a voice for animals” (ASPCA). That mission is accomplished by providing an appealing website that effectively educates visitors not only on the major concerns but also on the need for their involvement if they hope to make progress towards solving those issues. Through continued traffic, to their website, the ASPCA aims to gain new supporters who they hope will become educators and ambassadors of their mission to further reduce the number of homeless animals and to end animal
When receiving the informatory papers of the qualification to National Honors Society, I was nothing more than thrilled. The name and impact this organization has on our society leaves hope and happiness all around. I believe my acceptance would be a great choice in helping to advance the work we do in our school along with Huntingdon County.
The Animal Humane Association mission is to “To engage the hearts, hands and minds of the community to help animals.” Even with thoughtful and helpful volunteers, saving animals takes the capital. On average twenty thousand pets come through the doors of the Animal Humane Association looking for care, vaccines, and forever homes. The Animal Humane Association use seventy-four percent of their profits to provide for animals in need, while the other twenty-six percent goes to the organizing and management of the foundation. Oftentimes seventy percent of profits is just not enough money to provide a stable and quality home for the thousands of pets that come through the Animal Humane Association ; thus we have decided to help this mission-driven charity gain some assets in order to keep the number of pets who live and die on the streets low.
As one of the largest and most active humane societies in the world, the ASPCA aims to help animals in all kinds of distress or dangerous situations. In 1866, founder Henry Bergh had an epiphany. He believed he was meant to provide the voice for those that did not have one; for all the animals that equally deserve the same care and respect at the hands of any owner. So this began the ASPCA, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The ASPCA wishes to work towards abolishing animal cruelty and creating an ideal environment for all animals to have a loving
Every year animals are being mistreated, getting abused, and being left alone to die. When someone volunteers to help out he or she could save an animal's life. The shelter is not funded very much from the government to maintain their stability. They are having a tough time holding down the business, paying all employees, and housing and feeding every animal that walks through that door. That is why the staff is pleased with generous volunteers. On their website it states "However, TLHS primarily relies on funding from donations and fundraisers to help house, feed and care for the 6,000 animals per year who enter our facility" (About TLHS). Business hours at the shelter are anywhere from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Tuesday's - Saturday's. If one decides to volunteer he or she has to be 16 years and younger with a parent or guardian's nearby, or he or she can be 17 years and older with no more than a parent or guardian's signature. Tasks at the shelter include: walking the dogs, interacting with the cats, cleaning their beds and laying out fresh newspaper, and as well as washing their food bowls/dishes. Also 'Save a Pet. Spenser a Pet. Name a Pet' is a great way to care for an animal if transportation to the shelter is out of the question. All someone would have to do is donate $75.00 for a dog or $45.00 for a cat; when doing so he or she will receive the honor to name the pet they sponsored. The money that person donated covers the shots that the animal will need and spaying/neutering the animal. If someone does makes the decision to volunteer he or she can call the shelter at 662-841-6500 or email them at info@tupelohumane.org. If they also want to plan a trip up there the address is 2400 South Gloster Street, Tupelo, Mississippi
