Abortion is the termination of pregnancy by deliberately removing the foetus from the uterus. This procedure is typically performed during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
Abortion is a very complex and sensitive issue and opinions are split. Many believe that the procedure is very similar to murder – they argue that, although small, the foetus is still a human being. On the other hand, many people believe that the woman should have the luxury to choose if she wants to keep the baby or not. In my opinion, abortion is wrong – both morally and ethically.
When a woman chooses to have sexual intercourse without taking any necessary precautionary measures, she is taking a chance on her own free will. In other words, the woman is accepting the fact that a pregnancy may result from her having unprotected sexual intercourse. The resulting pregnancy is her responsibility and is a direct result of her actions – even though the pregnancy is unwanted.

Taking into consideration the fact that life begins at the moment of conception, it is therefore murder to kill the foetus. Also, abortion is morally wrong because the procedure ends the life of an innocent child who cannot defend himself or herself. The child is not given any choice. It is my belief that nobody should be allowed to end a life, no matter the circumstances.
In conclusion, it is my firm belief that abortion is morally and ethically wrong, and that it is an act of wilful murder. “Greater good” intentions cannot transform an act that is intrinsically evil into a right, nor sanction it as a matter of choice to eradicate unborn humans, who have an equal right to live. Remember, it is our duty to protect our children, not murder them in their early stages of
Abortion is a highly debated topic over pro-life or pro-choice being right or wrong. Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. It is a medical procedure used to end a pregnancy and cause the death of a fetus.
In conclusion, abortion is morally wrong. A life is sacred, both the mother’s and the infant’s. It is best to prevent pregnancy and eliminate a difficult life choice that takes the right away from one of those people. A quote by Ronald Reagan says, “I’ve noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been
One reason why abortion is wrong is because there are many other safer solutions. In the article, Why Do More People Choose Abortion Over Adoption?, Kristi Burton Brown stated: “In the USA, there are approximately two million infertile couples waiting to adopt, many times regardless of the child’s medical problems such as Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, HIV infection or terminally ill. Dr. Brad Imler, President of America’s Pregnancy Helpline, confirms the challenge of waiting couples by stating: Only 1% of the Helpline’s annual 40,000 clients inquires about adoption.” Putting him/her up for adoption will give them a better chance at a happier life rather than abortion. The solution for a baby should not be death. If it was for a selfish solution, you're sacrificing a life many other families would love to raise as their own.
There have been an rising number of abortion cases throughout the world. This topic has been filled by among other factors social and economic factors. Abortion is the termination of pregnancy. It is the removal of the fetus before it is viable. It is usually done before the fetus gets to 25 weeks old. It is either spontaneous or induced abortion. Abortion refers to the induced type (Malcolm 1977 page 12).
Abortion is the ending of pregnancy before birth and is morally wrong. An abortion results in the death of an embryo or a fetus. Abortion destroys the lives of helpless, innocent children and is illegal in many countries. By aborting these unborn infants, humans are hurting themselves; they are not allowing themselves to meet these new identities and unique personalities. Abortion is very simply wrong. Everyone is raised knowing the difference between right and wrong. Murder is wrong so why isn’t abortion? People argue that it is not murder since the fetus being destroyed is not living, breathing and moving. Why is it that if an infant is destroyed a month before the birth, there is no problem, but if
An abortion is, the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely allowed by the death of the embryo or fetus or the expulsion of a fetus by a domestic animal often due to infection at any time before completion of pregnancy. Abortions have always been and
It is not acceptable during any circumstances to decide for a human being that they should not serve their life here on earth. A child’s life is much more precious than one’s own selfish desires. It is known as murder when an innocent life is taken, and no one should bear this type of mistreatment. Even if the child was a product of rape or incest, it would still be considered unjust to take an innocent human being. The child that would never get a chance to see life, and possibly be the solution to many people’s issues would never get a chance to take its first breath of air. Just as rape should be considered a capital punishment, so shall abortion because killing an innocent is a punishable
What is morally wrong or right when talking about abortion? Probably an answer would be another question: if killing a human being is morally wrong why killing a foetus would be different? Induced abortion is the practice of voluntarily terminate the life of an unborn foetus. There are many negative consequences associated to induced abortions and numerous reasons why doctors should not perform induced abortion to women. Some of these reasons have to do with human values, for example, considering the beginning of life at the moment of conception; and not only values but
Abortion is a very touchy subject in our society. In the U.S. it is legal to abort a fetus up until the twenty fourth week. An abortion is the ending of a pregnancy before birth, which results in the death of an embryo or a fetus. Many people consider abortion as cruel as murder. Although some say abortion is in there own hands and is there own decision, others believe that no one but God has the right to take someone else 's life. People that support abortion do not consider an unborn fetus a person who must be protected under the law. Which makes an issue like abortion, difficult in determining if it is right or wrong in someone 's opinion.
Another reason I believe abortion is wrong is because it is very harmful to the mother. The suicide rate for a woman having an abortion is six times higher than if the woman was to give birth to the child. Abortion sometimes has life term effects on the woman’s body, physically and mentally. It can lead to infertility in the future, sickness, PTSD, depression, insomnia, eating disorder, breast cancer, and even death. Women do not realize the effects having an abortion can have on the body, they are looking for a fast easy way to end the life of baby before it changes their life.
Abortion is defined as “The removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end the pregnancy” (dictionary.com). However, if only the debate over the abortion issue was as easy as the definition listed above. However, similar to most things in life, a statement or opinion is never right nor wrong, but simply left open for clarification. Those who are against abortion believe that abortion is the murder of innocent human beings who aren’t given a chance at life and the ability to function as a normal individual. However, those who are for abortion believe that it is a women’s right to choose what she does to not only her baby but
Abortion is wrong for many reasons but mainly for murdering a living organism inside of you. Many people believes that the baby is not a person until he is born; which is wrong. That fetus living inside of you became a person from the moment of conception. The Bible says that, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." Basically, that

Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy that is often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. As life begins at conception, unborn babies are human beings and thus have the right to life. The federal Unborn Victim Of Violence Act that was made to protect unborn babies from murder states that anybody intentionally killing an unborn baby should be punished for killing a human being. Abortion is a murder because it is taking away someone’s life. Even though the baby isn’t born yet, the fetus in the mother’s womb still feels pain while being aborted. No person, not even a mother, has the right to hurt someone. To keep a child, who can’t even speak, from growing and from living is a murder.
However, to those who believe that abortion is ethical, one can reason that since the foetus is not developed yet, no soul will be abolished. Therefore abortion is ethical because women have the right to decide their own choices of maternity.
