Why Is Gun Control Important

Gun regulation has been a controversial topic since they were first established as a weapon. People for and against gun regulation provide strong arguments for their side. Gun regulation has fluctuated over time due to changes in office. Being a democracy prevents us from having consistency. As a nation we continue to change regulations on guns because of the different views our democracy allows us to have. The main aspects pose the most problems in gun control are violence, illegal sale of guns, and mental health checks.

We the people are forming this Declaration of Gun Rights and Control in order to shed light and encourage gun control and stop senseless violence. The purpose of the Declaration of Gun Rights and Control is to regulate and/or ban the manufacture, sale, possession and use of firearms by civilians. The reasons for creating this declaration includes the need to stop mass shootings to protect citizens, clarifying the second amendment of the Constitution so that it is not used as an excuse to “bear arms,” and saving lives because of regulation. The Declaration of Gun Rights and Control is needed to restrict gun ownership and protect our people. According to CNN, gun violence kills 90 Americans every day. This is the time for the families

- For decades gun control has always been a very controversial issue in America. The Second Amendment states it is an individual's right to bare arms and by having stronger laws on guns, that would only be taking their right away, However, we have seen violent crimes rise due to guns, we have seen many people lose their lives and get hurt. Americans should be for gun control because it can help prevent school shootings, stronger regulations can help stop gun loopholes, and stronger laws can make it harder for people that have a bad record to get a gun. With the enormous amount of violence in today's society, individuals need to take a stand demanding stricter regulations on guns.

What is gun control? Gun control are policies that restrict, posses, or modify the use of firearms. I am against the possession of firearms because firearms have caused many injuries or deaths here in California although we have many rules towards the use of firearms. The use of weapons is not really a necessity for us as citizens the only ones who should be able to possess weapons should be the authority meaning the police, the army, the navy, and etc. Firearms shouldn't have to be fired unless you have to in order to defend you or your family from a serial killer or a maniac.

Various studies have come forth arguing the ratio of gun related deaths to amount of conceal and carry permits show that while gun ownership increased in certain states, gun related deaths and violence for that matter decreased slightly . I believe that we have a right to have guns. It is an amendment and also a right to have then. They were trying to take that from us and we did not stand for it. I think that we all should keep our guns and weapons because it solves nothing.

Another one of my values is safety. Police, fire, and other emergency services should be readably available at all times. Any members acting out towards citizens should be punished through termination, fines, and possible jail time based on offense. With all the police brutality scandals in the news, I find this to be extremely important. All emergency personal should be required to have a chest and dash camera on at all times. Film should be reviewed on a weekly basis in a meeting with the emergency responder. Throughout our country many officers are being called in to question. Restrictions are rules or limitations that are put in place to keep order. Restrictions have kept our country safe for years. For example, the drinking age for all U.S. residents is twenty-one years old. Imagine the risk of having a younger age or not having one at all. Also, alcohol is only sold Monday through Saturday and during certain times of the day. If restrictions were not in place there would be more accidents and deaths occurring every day. Strict gun control laws are needed to reduce the number of mass shootings.

However, owning guns has led to several shootings across the United States. Guns are too easily available and need to be monitored more often because of how they are accessed and how easy they are to purchase. Stricter gun control laws will help the situation become less violent and diminish School shootings.

America has recently witnessed a number of shooting and indiscriminate firing incidents in schools, malls, and villages. Some took their own lives before the police could even respond to the scene. In the end, America keeps losing children, teachers, brothers, and sisters. The population is decreased, but the problem persists. With all these shooting sprees is gun control what we really need? Or is there a more serious problem we are facing here?

In the issue of gun control I stand myself in a positive standard. For some people the way I think, for them, could be negative. Every Single person has their own opinion about gun control, and I have mine also and here it is. I think gun control has being a big issue, for the United States. It’s being an issue because of the entire massacre that has being so many deaths. And yes I think we should still have the second amendment of the bill of rights, which is the right to bear arms. But I also believe that every single person who owns a gun should be register as when they sell a gun.

Everyone has heard about proposals for gun control in the US, but how will it work and is it really necessary? I selected this topic because gun control would strongly affect my family. I already know that gun control would be going against the second amendment and that it would be pointless to even try to control them. In my opinion, gun control would turn out to be exactly like the war on drugs. It will be a waste of money and time. People still manage to get drugs, and they will just as easily be able to get guns.

The shot heard around the world it seems like all you hear on the news is tragic occurrences involving guns. Firearms are supposed to protect us. However tragedies at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the Virginia Tech shooting, the Aurora “Batman” shooting, along with the Tucson shooting flowed our news feeds making us question our current gun control laws. With the upcoming holiday season approaching it hard for us to comprehend how we would live a minute without our loved ones. But for the families of the Sandy Hook disaster, Virginia Tech misfortune and Aurora Shooting that is a bitter reality. The gunmen from each of this incidents have took away something that no amount of money can replace.
