Luke Bryan
Luke Bryan concert filled with music, lots of people, and lifted trucks. Most of the time Luke has over 500 people at his concerts. He is known well for his music and his career. Many know about him but not his fantastic music. Luke Bryan’s music is popular in modern days. Many people in their forties- fifties don’t like Luke’s music because it sounds like pop music. That’s only because, we don’t have the same people they grew up listening to. We didn’t grow up with them so we aren’t use to their kind of music. Luke Bryan is a modern country singer, mashed together with pop country.
I clearly think that Luke Bryan has more fans show up at his concert than George Jones. Many people between twenty-seven and seven know more songs
Artist like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Jimmie Rodgers, George Jones, Willie Nelson and many more were are crucial parts in shaping the genre of country music. Each one of these artists had their own spin on country music making it diverse but managed to keep country music as country music. Their influence can be felt today. Country music was born from artists that were able to write anything from heartache to happiness. Patsy Cline was also an important musician who was named the most influential email country artist of all time. Elvis Presley was one of the most iconic artists who mixed gospel, R&B, and country tunes and produced legendary music that will be around
Country music is by far the best. Country music’s style is like no other. Almost every country song has a southern touch too it. Usually when someone hears a country song they can tell it is one because of the unique sound. Country music has some of the best singers to ever come out of the music industry. When I hear Martina McBride hit an impossible note, it sends shivers down my spine. Almost every artist in country music can really sing. Country music has more meaning to their songs, and they are deeper. Country music is a lot more relatable than any other type of music. People can understand Country music better, and they feel like they are going through what the song is about.
That said, Country Music is a most peculiar genre of musical entertainment. Artists therein often sing about the most mundane aspects of life, and living. Songs usually include words like beer, cheating, cowboys, lying, trailers, trucks, whiskey etc.
One reason George Strait should win is that he has a great deal of hit songs. He has sixty number one hits, more than any other performer in history. The closest runner up is Conway Twitty, with forty hit songs. George Strait continues to hold his record, and no one has broke it. [texasmonthly.com]
Washington Post shared a bit more about Randy Travis performing this weekend. Randy's voice was described as "shaky and slightly garbled." Randy didn't just sign, but he also stood up from his wheelchair for the big performance. He let everyone see him on his feet doing what he is known best for by his fans. Of course, Randy Travis got a standing ovation. Davis-Travis told the Tennessean in March about Randy. Here is what he had to say.
Since I was raised in a small, country town in Oklahoma I definitely heard my fair share of country music. For the most part I wasn’t a fan of mainstream country music because it all sounded very similar, in my opinion. I found Blue Grass music or more Folk inspired country music to be more interesting. But when I was offered the opportunity to attend a Jason Aldean concert with a few friends this semester I didn’t want to miss out. I knew what to expect going to a Jason Aldean concert and that was a lot of boots and a lot of pearl snaps, and I was definitely correct. Jason was in Oklahoma on February 5th for his “We Were Here” tour. I had never been to a country music concert before and was looking forward to the new experience.
The prevailing ideologies that define masculinity within country music, and with even greater prominence in the “bro-country” subgenre, remains engrained within the concept of being an outdoorsman. Luke Bryan’s “Huntin’, Fishin’, Lovin’, Everyday,” acts as a laid back anthem to said country-man, whose song’s lyrical substance indicates that a true country boy yearns for a life within the rural setting. Luke describes “the prayer that a country boy makes” as one
The most important reason Luke Bryan should be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame is because of his charity work. He has put together millions of concerts and tours for people with special needs. Bryan has donated a great deal of money to children’s hospitals to help buy more supplies and medicine for the patients (Finan). He played in one of Deirk Bently’s concerts and earned money for children’s special needs camp: (Kaylor 1-1). He loves doing charity concerts and performing at children’s hospitals to raise money for them.
There is a big difference in older country music and today’s country music. Older country music tells stories, and today’s just talks about women and getting drunk. If these people did as much drinking as they say they do then we wouldn’t have any new country singers. The newer stuff sounds a lot like hip hop or rap. What does everyone think of when they hear the words country music; that’s what I thought a cowboy. How does everyone picture a cowboy? Is he in skinny jeans and a flat bill hat? No, everyone pictures that fairy tale story about a cowboy and a cowgirl falling for one another. The reason that 90’s country music is better is because, it does not sound like hip hop, it actually tells stories, and it does not just talk about drinking.
He’s released at least one single a year for every year since the beginning of his career. The first single released in 1981, called “Unwound”, is one of the top ten hot country (Taste of Country ). Strait out of the box (1995) is his highest certified multi-platinum album, which has sold more than 5 Million copies. Some noteworthy number one hits include Give it away, I saw God Today, Heartland, I Cross My Heart, I Hate Everything, Right or Wrong, The Chair, I am Blue, Baby Blue, Ace in the Hole, Love Without End, Amen, Carried Away, and Run. (Spong). Therefore in his life George had many number one hits and albums, no wonder he’s considered to be
Eric Church is a good ole' country boy from Granite Falls, North Carolina. At thirteen is when Church started writing songs and playing guitar. His passion for music grew later in life and he moved to Nashville, where he was signed with Sony Tree Records. His last album Chief won Album of the Year from both the CMA and ACM in the last awards cycle, as it probably should have compared to its competition. Eric Church will never win the popularity contests like “Entertainer” or “Male Vocalist” categories because he has made more enemies than friends in the industry and beyond. But his music’s unpredictability is the magic quotient that can’t be denied, and continues to win him loyal fans.
George Jones started from nothing and made his way to be a country music hall of famer. He is one of the best country music singers of all time. Between car accidents, fighting with his wife’s, money, alcoholism, and drug abuse all almost ended his career many times. George Jones, one of America's greatest country music stars of all time, he had a rough time with his alcohol and drugs, but still found a way to receive the Lifetime Grammy Award.
Brantley Gilbert is a very compassionate and successful artist. He has had 3 albums 8 hits and several different awards for his
Regardless of George Strait's incredible history of recognition and awards, he has always been one of my favorite country music artists. I am a true, long time fan of traditional country and I love his style in particular because of the dash of honky tonk and swing music that comes with it. My husband has roots in Texas and we spend quite a bit of time there on vacation. We enjoy the cowboy lifestyle and have always spent our free time enjoying country music, country two step dancing at the dance hall, being outside horseback riding, attending the rodeo, visiting the county fair and enjoying the laid back country life. One day we plan on moving back to Texas permanently and in the meantime, George's music makes us feel at home wherever we are.
The concert had a total of five acts in a time span of over seven hours with not just Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney but also Old Dominion, Cole Swindell, and Brantley Gilbert. As the crowd began to pile in with over 55,000 people the concert finally started at 4:30pm. Coming in I had never heard
