Steve Jobs, the Second Biggest Innovator in the World
“Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower” (Jobs). I can take a camera and make a replica of it, but change one thing in it, and I would be considered an inventor. Steve Jobs always used other products from varieties of different companies to gather up ideas and combine them into what we now call his “invention”. The only work Steve Jobs has done was to think of what device he wants to enhance, something he thought would attract more people to the product. “Innovation has nothing to do with how many R & D dollars you have. When Apple came up with the Mac, IBM was spending at least 100 times more on R & D. It's not about money. It's about the people you have, how you're led, and how much you get it” (Jobs). An inventor, is a person that creates ideas and products. An innovator is a person that introduces the ideas and products. If someone created something that can be used by others to make things of their own, they should be thought of as inventors. However, the person in the position of the inventor should be Steve Wozniak. Steve Wozniak is a computer programmer. He co-founded Apple computer, what is now Apple inc., with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne. He designed the Apple I and Apple II in the late 1970s. He did not copy any other design when he made them and he used his own materials. Steve Jobs is now considered to be the second top innovator in the world after Thomas Edison.
