The Bible is composed of two parts, which are the New Testament and the Old Testament. The two Testaments consist of a collection of stories, letters, poetry, prayers, historical events and other literature. These were written by different people, some of whom are characters in these stories. The purpose of the readings in the bible is to continue teaching people about God and his only son Jesus Christ. The Bible is considered a guide to follow the right path to the Kingdom of God or eternal life; which is achieved by abstaining from sin. Through these readings, they deliver implied messages of what was considered a sin. Since it is explained in a form of stories, it is common for readers to interpret the readings differently. It describes sin as breaking your relationship with God or turning your back to Him. An example would be Deuteronomy 31:18, “these people will soon prostitute themselves to the foreign gods of the land they are entering. They will forsake me and break the covenant I made with them. On that day I will become angry with them and forsake them; I will hide my face from them and they will be destroyed.” When God spoke to Moses, he informed him that he was going to die and when he entered the new world, the people would turn to other gods and that would be their punishment.
