Why Kids Should Not Get Homework

I believe, as a student, that homework is just a tool that teachers use to keep us busy. Being a student who has received homework for various years, I have found that homework causes me a lot of stress (Ethos). Homework causes kids to get very stressed out, it causes stress in their families, and studies show that it does not improve test scores. Harris Cooper, a worker at Duke University (Ethos), found out that, doing more than 60 to 90 minute of homework in middle school and more than 2 hours in high school is associated with much lower scores (Logos). This just shows that homework is a useless item that students are forced to do. Firstly, students have to wake up from seven until two o'clock everyday,

The amount of homework given to students should decrease. The extensive amount of homework takes away family time that is necessary to child development. Also, stress that can can come with homework can cause health issues. The amount of homework given to students can cause students to cheat off students answers because they did not finish. Also, most of the homework that is assigned is not necessary in learning the material.

Students feel more stressed and turned off to learning, which is, a lifelong pursuit when it comes to homework. Too much homework turns kids off to learning and makes them less rather than more invested in school and learning. Are children having too much homework? There has been a big disagreement about if students should have homework or students should not have homework. Some people say they should not have homework and some say they should have homework. Children should not have homework, because it wastes all of the time out of school.

Sometimes our parents have no time to help us because they have their jobs. Then if we can’t get any help it’s going to be either a late grade or an F because we can’t get a good grade without a complete assignment. Our parents could also have a goodnight sleep without having to worry about us failing their classes because of homework. Teachers will also gain out of no homework because they don’t have to deal with grading messy handwriting and awful grammar. They don’t have to stay up however long it takes just to grade all the papers their students. It’s especially hard for middle school teachers and up because there are so many kids and so many different classes. Teachers can go anywhere they want if their lesson plan is finished for the next day if there is no homework. They won’t have to deal with angry kids, teens and yelling at them if they’re failing school because of homework. Homework is keeping everyone up.

I believe that the school district should not get rid of homework. If the school district gets rid of homework, students will not get into good colleges and universities like their parents want them to.

Studies show that homework can cause sleep loss and other health problems. In Ontario, schools teachers should not be allowed to assign homework to students because kids are busy doing sports or other events. Also, parents want to see their kids after school. Another reason is kids are tired and might stay up late trying to finish.

Most of the homework adolescents tend to receive from their teachers is busy work, and children and family agree this is not fair to them. This issue is affecting adolescents, parents, and families. When students are overloaded with responsibilities from schoolwork, their participation in extracurricular and social activities decreases. An argument over homework might seem trivial, but there are many negative effects on children who are attending school and go through this pressure.

Some people have the mindset that school district shouldn't get rid of homework because homework can help out a student in many ways ,but i disagree with that I believe that the the school district should get rid of homework.why because it shows that it has almost no benefits on the students ,and it can make students hate school.

I believe that the school district should not get rid of homework. It is important that we get all the help we can get. School can be hard sometimes, so homework helps us understand the work more.

Growing up as a kid in America, there are many things you could get the chance to partake in. One of the main things you get the chance to do is attend school and earn an education, but with this education comes great responsibility. Ponte she has to help her kids out with homework 24/7 and has to deal with them being all whiny and acting totally different since they do not want to do their homework. Also According to Judeen Bartos he talks about the students complaining about the homework so much that the parents get stressed out because they have to stop whatever they are doing and help their kids with their homework. Well, unfortunately, kids feel this way all of the time. You're probably wondering why. Believe it or not, the cause for this is homework.
