The argument between to have or not have school uniforms has been an ongoing dispute ever since the use of them. I have first-hand experience of having school uniforms and having no school uniforms. I strongly believe that school uniforms are beneficial to an individual’s school success/experience.

Imagine going through a stroll in the park and seeing a child being tormented for something they simply can't control. Imagine what that child could be doing to themselves or will do to themselves if it continued. Just think of all the problems at home on top of them to, how much their parents have to sacrifice for them to even go to school. But on top of that  having to pay for more cost including uniforms. These additional cost and all the school expenses putting them over the brink of poor.This is why there should not be uniforms in schools

School uniforms would lift the burden of cost, for both parents and families. Students will naturally compete with each other, clothing is one area that could be eliminated. The wearing of fashionable clothing, while others feel the need to wear something extremely casual. For parents the burden of cost normally becomes theirs as children have to have, or wear certain types or brands of clothing. Thus competing with each other over clothes would end. How many parents have trouble with children picking out their clothes for school each morning? Why do kids have to bully others even if there wearing uniforms? Well that’s, because kids in some situations get jealous of what other kids have or own , you can’t express your kind of style if you’re wearing a uniform, and people still get bullied even if their wearing uniforms.Uniforms shouldn’t be worn, because you still get bullied either way, even if you wear uniforms or not.

Imagine walking to school everyday in the same style clothes. Your entire wardrobe is full of blue buttoned up shirts and khakis or pink shirts and pink skirts. Has this ever happened to you? You expect this to be my number one reason, “Kids should be able to wear what they want to,” nope, that’s not what this entire thing is going to be about. Making students wear uniforms violates a student right to freedom of expression. They are also hard to enforce in public schools. It’s also an unfair additional expense for parents who pay taxes for a free public education.

School uniforms shouldn’t be worn because they are usually dull and something students don’t want to wear. From wearing a uniform, a student could get in a sorrowful mood and stay unhappy for the whole school day. Around $350 a year could be spent on school uniforms. Imagine this: Money being put in the hands of people instead of their necessities, teachers stopping kids in hallways, covering up the issue instead of eliminating it, and kids being forced to hide who they are, to make another kid unprepared. Because it makes our wallets slimmer, wastes the time of students and teachers, hides the issue instead of taking care of it, and forces kids to no longer feel accepted to be themselves, uniforms should only be worn in private schools. Another fact is that people who can not afford these uniforms are forced to go into debt or go broke. A woman in California has six children all going to a school with uniforms that she has too buy. For six pairs of jeans and polo that will total up around six hundred dollars. That will be very hard on their family.

Do you want uniforms at your school? No one really knows why people like school uniforms. It won’t change anything with the real problems at the school. Many kids still won’t be able to buy the name brand uniforms. So people will still judge others for not having the same name brand uniforms. Although it can take students time to adjust to transitioning into the policy of being required to wear uniforms in school when it is first enforced, the benefits that come from them makes it all worth the hassle. Individuals against the idea of students being required to wear uniforms in school, often fail to see the bigger picture at hand. Uniforms help with removing negative situations in schools, along with helping parents save time and money.
