Why Should Cell Phones Be Allowed In Class

Nowadays most of students have cell phones as a way to communicate with others.but sometimes they can get distracted by these devices in class. Schools should require cell phones to be turned off and putting away during class, so students would focus more on assignments and information provided by the instructor.

Cell phones cause students to do bad on their work, can enable cheating, and can be distracting. So logically, cell phones should not be allowed in school. Phones can make it harder to get accepted a good college. They can make it to where some students can cheat and not do their own work. Finally, phones can distract students and teacher alike, taking away from learning time. Even though others argue for cell phones, these facts are all true. We live in a world where people are being taken over by phones. Let’s stop it from taking over

My agurment writing is that kids in school should be able to have their phones. I have a few reasons why we should have our phones in class. One reason is for making videos/recording experiments. If students can’t have their phones the how can they record an experiment, if they can’t record then they can’t get a grade on the experiment. Which makes us students suffer for not being able to have our phones.

Phone technology has been upgrading and updating for years now, and that’s obvious, and that means that this generation is filled with it. While it’s upgrading it’s also becoming more in demand than before. The world is starting taking it to another level, so there are also the downsides of these phones, the downsides that make this technology distracting, making people to beleive they shouldn’t be alowed in class. While it is true, phones can be a distraction sometimes, if the students are monitered the right way and know exactly what they are doing, phones just might be able to work out. With proper use, phones should be alowed in school.

As a teacher, I notice that when I give an assignment, students ask to use their cell phones. Many times, students are not using their phones for work purposes. They are in fact, sending snapchats or checking facebook or instagram. Students access social media that they are not old enough to be part of. According to KidsHealth.org, “30% of teens say they’ve received online advertising that was for their age, and another 39% of teens admitted to lying about their age to gain access to websites.” As you can see, by allowing phones in class, we may be opening our students up to predators and pressuring them to keep up with their peers by lying about their ages to gain access to social

Most schools do not allow the use of cell phones in school or in class, so the school feels like changing their policy of cell phone use might be a bad idea. Students could take advantage or miss use the privilege of phones in class. There will always be students who act out in class, but the school must discipline those who do and reward those who do not.

Allowing students to have their cell phones out can allow them to be able to go on the internet and look up answers to a test or class work. They could text another student and ask them for answers. Also,allowing students to have cell phones in class, can make a chance for cyber bullying to happen. A student that may not be friends with another classmate could capture an embarrassing moment for the student and post it to allow all of his friends to see it. Some students do not use their digital devices for the good that they have, but for the bad. Many students are more likely to get into serious trouble with they law and have serious legal problems. If students are allowed to use their cell phones in school and they get caught doing illegal things on their digital devices such as sexting, they will be punished by the law. This cause major trouble for some students. Many students will also bully other students more during school hours. If bulling numbers go up it will cause many problems for the school administration.
