Let me start by saying this, I have many strengths but some are weak. The best strength that I have of the twelve techniques for improving creative abilities is Learn to know and understand yourself. I have a strong understanding of my personality and who I am. On the other hand, there are a few techniques that have room for improvement and that is keep track of your ideas at all times. I must have an understanding who I am and being honest with myself. When one is being honest with themselves they will gladly see where there flaws lie, and what they need to work on. You enhance your knowledge when you start enhancing your weakness, dislikes, and what have you. A first step in problem solving is truly understanding yourself in order to move forward. When you ever step back and think “could I have done something differently to solve that?” Instead of being in denial and not true to yourself or actions, you can honestly say yes I could have done that differently. That’s is when your creative juices start flowing in. Then you start to think of ideas and brainstorming strength shines through and that’s when you have started your problem solving steps. Self-reflection is a big part of our lives, it is a way of asking ourselves provoking questions. …show more content…
I for one is not good at keeping track of my ideas even if I write them down. I am great at brainstorming but my memory lacks of remembering which ideas were the best. I suffer from Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and my mind is always racing. I have thought after thought after thought. So in other words I could have idea, after idea, after idea, but I will have trouble keeping track of where did I write that Idea down at. I am great at remembering people’s faces and images, but not where I simply wrote something down and I forgot where I misplaced
When you reflect you own work it helps you to identify new opportunities, develop skills and techniques, understand what have you reached, to learn from experience, think what you were doing right and what not.
One strength that I find as a writer is being able to back up my side of an argumentative or persuasive essay. I am confident in my ability to make my readers believe in my views of an issue and make these views their own; if not, I am able to sway the
Firstly, when it comes to my strengths in writing, I do not believe I carry many. Of the few I possess, my word selection is a constant advantage for me. I try not to settle for undereducated vocabulary. I see this as taking the easy way out and I do not believe I learn from this. Another one of my strengths when it comes to writing is my adequate spelling. Accurate spelling is strongly in my nature. When I am reading I can sense when a word is spelled incorrectly. My final strength in writing is organization. I believe my work is clear to follow. This is important so I can get my message across to my reader. Although I am solid in these aspects of my writing, they
There are strengths that I have yet to discover or recognized within myself. But, If I were to select only five strengths that I have recognized within myself, they would be: my strength of intuitiveness, the power of being a good listener, my willpower, the extreme organizational skills, and open-mindedness. All of the strengths depend on each other to thrive
I do not have very many strengths in English and writing. My strengths in English and writing are organization, sentence structure, and developing a position. I am good at organizing my papers and essays because, to me, if they are not organized in a sensible way the writing sounds choppy and incoherent. Sentence structure
be out of comfort zone. In order to get to the point of reflection and how we can re-programme our
Some of the greatest strengths I discovered was using the microscope. I had the hardest time using the microscope at first, but toward the middle of the semester I was able to detect a kidney infection in a fellow classmate by observing the person's urine specimen through the microscope. Some of my other strengths are documenting. I truly enjoy documenting. Another strength I have found I possessed was running an EKG. At first I also had a hard time doing this but after I practiced alot it became easier for me. Just like strengths everyone has weaknesses. I have determined that there are areas that I do have some weaknesses in. One of my weak areas are venipunctures and capillary punctures. I have a great amount of venipunctures left to do due to the fact I seem to have a problem with removing the needle in the same manner that it went in. I have trouble in conducting capillary punctures not in performing the puncture itself but in obtaining the speciment. I think the reason that I am weak in this area is because of the technique by which I am conducting these skills, but just as I have worked to overcome the other issues that are my strengths, I will work to overcome these weak
Secondly, I use empathy to quickly understand when others have a need or problem. Finally: Ideation is the creation new ideas or expanding on ideas that are of interest to me. I am creative, love new concepts and appreciate the originality. When I capitalize on them, I can bring out the best version of myself. It’s easy to see how my strengths will help me to fulfill my purpose by guiding me to a path I will be best in academically, personally and in my career. I should seek to match my strength in all
The strengths in my writings have stayed consistent throughout the year. One major strength in my writings is my use of detail. I sometimes tend to over explain things but I have gotten very good at taking things that repeat out of my writings, which makes my writings very detailed. Another strength in my writings is my correct use of commas. When I was in elementary school I commas were my favorite type of punctuation and I used to put them everywhere in my writings but now I have learned how to actually use them. One of the last strengths I have in my
James Scott argues that the weapons of the weak can be seen as a movement which operates socially without any organizational formality, no manifestoes, no dues, no name, and no sign. I agree with this statement because of the reasons herein discussed. This is so because a lot of attention has been given to protest movements that are large scale and organized in nature. Only appear for a moment in the disguise of posing some form of threat to an entire government. There are several reasons why this kind of bearing keeps on prevailing. It is visible that the excessive attention that is being devoted to peasant revolution was brought about by the Vietnam War and by what is now considered a vanishing left wing academic
When I am brainstorming I am able to approach a problem by letting my mind free-associate, coming up with as many possible ideas, examples, or solutions as I can without immediately evaluating them as good or bad. While I am brainstorming I don’t evaluate or criticize any idea as I am writing them down. I try to focus on the quantity not the quality of my brainstorming ideas, letting myself play generating new thoughts and ideas. I don’t concentrate on failure and I use analogy looking for similar situations and ideas that have worked in the past. I use a lot of brainstorming activities in my class as a group
Putting my personal feelings aside and avoid errors in judgment. Sometimes I need to think without my emotions. It would help me not to use snap judgments, negative labeling and stereotypes in my thought process. I should also try learning to use a more creative problem solving, because it helps to approach problem from a different direction and explores news options. It may also help solve easier problems first and help tackle harder problems.
According to Pfeffer (cited in Whetten & Cameron, 2005) leading positive change is one of the most important influences in helping organisations perform well. Another strength that I have identified through completing the “how creative are you” assessment (Carlopio et al, 2005) is creativity, possibly due to my ability to consider things from different perspectives as indicated by my preference toward the “thinking” dimension in my MBTI profile.
The biggest strength I have is to be creative with the situation that I am given. This in not only a skill that suggest that one can synthesize material to give it a sense of authenticity, but also can adapt and accommodate in the moment. Even the best planners can have a poor classroom dynamic; the rigidity of these classes is what prevents them from engaging students in the moment. I genuinely believe in effective planning and mythology but I also believe in breaking from the script and to accommodate the needs of learners in creative ways.
Another one of my top character strengths that has contributed to my life success within school is my creativity. While in high school, I came to the conclusion that I have a difficult time with complex concepts, but I also learned that for most of these concepts they can be broken down into simpler concepts through “cartoons” and/or easy to remember acronyms. This then made it easier for me to
