Veterans have sacrificed so much for us, just so we can be free. They leave their families and friends to go serve. When leaving, their family can be sad and worried, but they might not come back. So much stress is taking on, but it's all for a good cause therefore, we show our gratitude by providing goods and services to help the friends and families.
We can keep Lincoln's promise to our veterans and their families by giving our time and donating to them. Lincoln's promise is “ To care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan.” This means if a veteran got hurt in war then someone would help them recover or take care of them. Also if a veteran dies than the Veterans Administration (VA) should help the families financially or with services like health care. We can help keep this promise by donating to the VA to help give veterans and their families money so they can recover. You could also give time to organisation that help veterans so you could help a veteran after they come back from helping our country. Another thing we could do is donate money to hospitals
The Veterans of Foreign Wars assists the veteran and their families. The veteran is not the only one that suffers while in the military. The family also makes a sacrifice when the veteran is gone. Whether it is the spouse or the children, they take over duties that the veteran has usually done. When a veteran returns they may not be capable of resuming those duties. As an advocate, the VFW will help direct the veteran where to go to receive help in returning to the world that they had left. The VFW is involved in voicing veteran’s rights and benefits. To promoting patriotic values throughout are local veterans and citizens of our nation. The VFW is looking for veterans internationally, nationally, regional, and locally that need help is finding benefits to help with transitioning back into society, and be free of any obstacles. With the many programs that the Veterans of Foreign Wars is involved in, it could be anywhere from companies and business that offer grants and scholarships to military, veterans, or the families. It may even be organizations the help to feed out misfortunate veterans, unable of providing food for themselves and their families. It could take the form of finding housing or providing funds to help keep the veteran, or possibly their families with a
There have been many great wars in history of The United States of America, and these loyal, hard working and aging soldiers have come to be called veterans. A veteran is someone who has served or is serving in the armed forces. They are honored on November, 11 every year. That's how much they mean to us. We honor them because they risk their lives saving ours. They should be noticed for all their sacrifices. They should also be honored because they help keep freedom in our country. These are three reasons why they should be honored, there are many more because they do so much for us.
It is really sad when you see veterans on the street getting treated badly because they have no money. When they came back home to no money, no family, no home, and no support. Sometimes they have little money to come back too and still are able to pull themselves together and make a living. True heroes are able to come back from a bad situation and continue to live life.
Well to begin, Veterans Day is a day to celebrate all the strong and brave U.S. veterans and victims of the World War 1, who have risked their lives for our freedom and safety today. Now on November 11, we as americans publicly celebrate this holiday on the anniversary of the end of the war. It is a time to ponder and really think about how far we have came in American History, and how much we have accomplished in a world filled with so much hate and crime. Instead of war, we fight for world peace and kindness to be spread. Though we are constantly at war with other countries, without our courageous soldiers and our fearless veterans, this country would be a different place to live in. A more cruel, unsafe, and terrifying place.
Veterans are heroes who fight for our country and risk their lives for ours. They have courage to be true heroes.
The Veteran goes away from their family to go fight from us. Why will they do this for us? There is one word its freedom that all we care about without them we are not a nation we cannot do the entire thing that we are doing today. Every day they fight for us and then go to help other people that what are nation is. They fight for freedom and the flag no money and no deal. We should be thankful for that in other places there is on freedom like Chain. We got right because of them and the flag we see every day that why we see it everywhere. The people in this nation like the veterans for that. There life is on the line for us and for the freedom .Thank you for fighting for are freedom US
A benefit of being a veteran and the veteran families is health care benefits programs that provides coverage to the spouse or widow and to the dependent children of a qualifying sponsor. The veteran can have life insurance and have many special things. The most important thing is is that they should know that they are heros.Whether if they are disabled or not they put their lives on the line to protect our country. We should always be kind to the heros. You should always be kind to anyone no matter what. Thanks to the veterans we are safe and our country stands free.Any day especially Veterans Day,the best way we can honor veterans is to keep our nation’s promise to them like Abraham Lincoln said- “to care for him who shall have borne the battle
Throughout history, many veterans suffer after fighting in wars, and millions of veterans have been killed or injured. Veterans do not necessarily get the treatments they deserve without paying a price. Taking care of veterans costs a lot and health care is needed for them. They need health care after serving, in order to treat their problems and injuries. Jobs are also important to veterans because they are jobless after fighting in wars, which leads them to be homeless. It is important for people who need help to get help. As of right now, the government has attempted to help veterans, but it may not be enough.
It reminds us not to take all the opportunities we have today for granted, for without our veterans, we would definitely not had as many. Veteran’s Day reminds us how very desperate we really are for veterans, and how noble they are to step up and take the job. Veteran’s Day helps us show how much we appreciate all that they have done for us. To me a veteran is a hero (that many people forget to thank). It is because of veterans that America is still made of the same morals from when it was created, justice, freedom, and
Veterans day is important to me because it is where we see Veterans down the street and shake their hand and say thank you we don't get that opportunity that we almost never get so when you get a chance shake their hand. The thing that you served the most is for are freedom and for what we can do that you make sure we can go to school each day, go to a job each day. We have Freedom of speech and goodwill is useful because it helps to give children around the earth to get clothes to people that need it to survive the winters they get to have toys to play.Freedom of Speech it gives us a say in what we believe like a town meeting where everyone gets a vote or say in government.
On July 28th, 1914, the first war was brought to our world. All because of an assassination. At this time, we thought the only resolution was war and that war would save us. Among the years, we have bounced between different war periods and times where people just want peace. There is a time that we need to fight for our rights and stand up, but there is also a time where we need to stand down and just deal with what is going on. Because of our veterans, most of the world has been living in peace because our soldiers fight the wars for us and there is so much thanks in the world for that. It is so very wrong that there are veterans out there that are homeless or are even struggling to get food. Not to mention all of the medical bills because of former injuries while serving our country. There is no reason they should have to worry about the cost of an injury that happened when they were serving our
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the issues and effects of military families and how they cope with deployments and reintegration. That is, by exploring many interventions and programs such as Operation Purple Camp, Military Child Education Coalition, and Families Overcoming under Stress. These programs should be utilized more often in order for families and children to effectively cope with military stress from deployments and reintegration. Three common themes that were analyzed in the literature review which are 1) Effects of Deployment and Reintegration of Military Families and Children; 2) Interventions for Children of Deployed or Reintegrated Parents; and 3) Maltreatment with Children of Deployed and Reintegrated parents. Specifically, this paper analyzes issues that fall under each of these three themes. That is, School and Educational Effects and Deployment, Psychosocial and Behavioral Effects of Deployment, Education and School Environment Intervention Programs, and Family Focused Intervention programs.
I can bring stuff to the families that they need to help them out a lot. They are always wanting to have visitors because they have no one to talk to. The veterans are very special people to me because they have done amazing things the this country and to me personally.
We celebrate veterans day every November 11 to honor our veterans who perished in battle or are still with us today. This day was chosen when the Armistice of 1918 is put in place to end the fighting of world war 1, the so called “war to end all wars.” Obviously this did not happen, for we have traveled wherever malicious intents existed to face the forces of oppression. Back then, and even now, Americans has always believed they were fighting honorably for something bigger than themselves. This mindset has motivated our veterans more than enough, enough to lay down their only life to persevere against the horrors of world war 2, the Cold War, and more, and the impact left a domino effect across the whole world. No country in the history of mankind has sacrificed more than the United States to free people from bondage. It’s simply admitting a fact about the
