Most kids are taking ap classes, plus all the old people in the desert don't feel the need to retire quite yet, so job positions for teens in high school are given more to the older generations. Also cutting down times on items like smart phones or computers is nearly impossible, most teachers require work to be turned in online (cough cough), combined with six classes could mean a possible 3 hours on electronics for work alone. Some people are discussing whether drug testing student athletes should be allowed in school or not, I think it should be allowed and here are some reasons why. Parents continue to argue with coaches saying that drug testing shouldn’t be allowed because it makes the children nervous and it makes it hard to focus on them. Some coaches agree that drug testing shouldn’t be allowed, they say that the kids can’t handle the pressure of the possibility of the results coming out incorrect. If students continue to take drug tests, I think it should be monthly based and not random so that they know when it is and it would no longer be random. The problem with drugs is that the responsibility they require is too big for middle school students. In middle school, kids are just learning how to make decisions on their own. This is one reason that drugs are a problem during this time. Peer pressure is a big factor in starting the drugs. This is how it spreads. Testing middle school students for drugs would be a way to solve the problem before it even begins. Middle school is a time where kids are still developing mentally, physically, and emotionally and experimenting with drugs could be-and is-detrimental to this process. If schools were to test for drugs, and a case was found, the teen that came back positive would be educated right away on why drugs are so dangerous.

Hello have you heard about the controversy with the school drug testing.Well at the moment middle school students can only be drug tested if they show symptoms of drug abuse and even then they are rare.There is prove that all grades 7-12 have kids that take drugs.That’s why i think middle school drug test should happen more often to prevent kids getting addicted to drugs.That is why I think middle schools should test kids.

I think that the mission of the police is to protect the children in the community overall everybody. Middle school students should be drug tested in order to play a sport. If High School students have to be drug tested to be eligible to play a sport or to participate in extracurricular activities, middle school students should have to get tested also. They are just as guilty as their peers. In this generation children can’t be controlled of what they do because they aren’t raised correctly and sometimes they make wrong decisions because they are young. Schools are just trying to prevent athletes from going down the wrong route.
