Women around the world have not been treated equally in a work setting environment. In some places women aren 't even allowed to work, but in our nation the United States of America this is not our scenario. The scenario in the United States of America is that women are allowed to work, but unfortunately women are not being treated the same manner in which a man is treated in a work setting. Women go through a lot of obstacles in a workplace, this should not be happening at this time in date. We as a society tend to say we have grown and prosper and that this is the land of opportunity, but how can such a statement be said if women are not given the same opportunity as men are. In a work setting women tend to be paid much less the man is paid for doing the same exact job. Then because women are paid less its affects them in their daily life. Women also face the difficulties of not being promoted as often as men are in a work setting. After facing such difficulties in a work setting they still have issues of sexual harassment to deal with. Then, if women choose to become pregnant, they have another difficulty to face. Overall the worst obstacle and what I feel is the one that starts all of this is the challenge of women being hired for a job. The only reason why women are not treated the same is a simple observation if a person is male or female makes all the difference in a work setting.

A century ago women were excluded from the opportunities which men enjoyed. As I stated, women in society are seen as less than men in this society.
