To help live a happy and healthy lifestyle you should exercise at least an hour a day. Most people think that they do not have enough time in a day to exercise, yet they sleep eight to ten hours a night. If people would wake up an hour earlier to exercise it would benefit not only their health, but their mood throughout the day as well. Even though most people claim to be to busy to workout on a regular basis, experience and research show that people should routinely workout to live a better life. Exercising an hour a day will improve physical health in many ways. Exercising on a regular schedule will help control your weight and body fat. Keeping your weight and body fat at a low healthy level will help reduce stress on the body. Less stress will help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, and type two diabetes. Working out will increase muscle, bone and joint strength. Increasing the strength of the muscle, bone, and joint will lead to more flexibility, less injuries, and better daily performance. …show more content…

Exercise is just as important to your mental health as it is to your physical health. Working out can help with depression, stress, and self confidence. The most underrated form of antidepressant is working out. In an article for WebMD Smitha Bhandari explained the effects of exercise on the brain “when exercising your brain releases endorphins, these endorphins interact with the brain's receptors that reduce your perception of pain” (Bhandari 1). Lowering pain tolerance will help the body and mind push through uncomfortable situations. Self confidence grows when being pushed through these uncomfortable situations. Knowing what you are capable of and how hard you can push yourself will help you deal with daily problems, and improve your attitude towards stressful situations.
