I feel like the range of my evidence could have been better.Instead of just using websites, databases and books, I felt that I could have expanded my range of sources to documentaries and pictures as well. The reason I did not do this was because of my poor time management. Next time I am going to plan my time more wisely and research about the even a little bit beforehand so I know how big of an event it is and the controversies that surround it. Another thing I could improve on is my annotations
I would like to submit my resignation effective immediately due to severe uncivil behavior of Ms. Philicia Penny, field supervisor. In addition, I have received a call from Mr. Ross Higgins, Manager, immediate after the incident, and through which he has shown his utmost discriminating behavior. I would also like to submit a report on the incident with an expectation that proper investigation will be taken care, which is described as below: After my overnight duty (00;00 to 08:00) at the City Hall
I disagree with the determination in the notice dated 7/29/2015 because I feel I was not fired for being late. I was retaliated against for opening up an investigation with Starbucks Human Resources against my co-workers due to the fact that I was being harassed and discriminated against. I am African American. I wasn't fired for being late, it was based on the complaint I filed with Human Resources for all the harassment, and derogatory racist remarks that were made by certain employees during my
My main behavior target was insufficient sleep and the second one is increasing physical activity/exercise. I am trying to change the number of hours I sleep, I usually sleep 6 hours each day and want to improve by getting 7-8 hours a night. The outcome is to be and look less tired throughout the day, along with feeling more energized and in a better mood overly feeling optimistic. Second behavior change to increase physical activity, at least 4 hours a week either going to the gym, cycling, spinning
When entering the store I saw a female employee with short red curly hair slowly aligning and organizing the chips on display. A bag right next to her fell off onto the floor and she kept on walking, maybe not realizing, although I could hear it fall more than twice the distance. She was sluggish in her movements, appearing tired and on "auto pilot", so no contact was initiated. I briefly hovered in her vicinity and she never made eye contact or offered assistance. She did have her back to me a
exhibiting signs of sensory stimulation during the breakfast and lunch hour, in which I decided to follow up with further observation. It was observed that Mr. K. was particularly fond of taking a piece of paper towel, neatly folding it into a square and moving his fingers up and down, as if he was feeling the texture of the napkin, during meal time. During a subsequent observation, I witnessed Mr. K. consistently running his fingers over the outside border of a bib. During a time of inactivity while
The amount of mental fortitude a person possess can only be measured once the individual runs out of it. I decided to see how much I possessed when I went to Air Force boot camp. I knew that the duration of the training would include a rigorous agenda designed to break my physical and mental will. When I finally arrived at the Base we were issued photo ids, and I said goodbye to my parents and got on the bus to take me to my first challenge, in-processing. The first thing that happened once
Workplace Observation Corporations are the building blocks for communities, counties and cities. They have their own agendas and can impact these areas in minute and monumental ways. The major factor which predicates this impact is their organizational culture. Organizational culture has been defined as, “the system of shared actions, values, and beliefs that develops within an organization and guides the behavior of its members” (Schermerhorn, Hunt & Osborn, 2005). Employees are key factors which
While I was in Portland I got the chance to talk to a few key people at Vigor and other companies, the one thing they all said is how hard it is to find good qualified welders that stay. The turnover due to lack knowledge, coming back to work and showing up late or just not wanting to do manual labor anymore is huge according to them. They all have programs with most of the community colleges in their areas to promote Welding and secure jobs once graduated, Vigor said not only are they busy now
vehicle, a spouse, or children can leave a person in a position to stay at a particular job. I have gone through this in my own life and only now was able to be lucky enough to find a way out of my former job to pursue my dream. Another interesting observation I found was the demeaning and dehumanizing aspects of their
