In 20th century, every human being on the earth is familiar with television, internet and other form of media. We can see the effect of these forms of the electronic media in our daily life.

To begin with, globalization has furthered accessibility(SA1) to other groups and causes in many way. In Ariela Garvett essay “Tweets and Transitions: How the Arab Spring Reaffirms the Internet’s Democratizing Potential” Garvett argues that “as reflected in the recent political upheavals in North Africa and the Middle East, the internet is a potentially egalitarian and boundary-less structure...(174)

In our everyday lives, people are exposed to all kinds of media. Many people around the world watch movies, read cartoons and glance at the television. Although they may not realize it, they are under the influence of the images that they see. In fact, these sources may make people have negative assumptions about Middle East. Every so often, there are stereotypical judgments and comments in the media. Exaggerated Hollywood action movies, cartoons and opinionated news emphasize the negative side of Middle East, which indirectly compels audiences to believe that the combinations of images may even be true.

I will be talking about editing work through the industry of media, we will start some of the software that is used in the industry today, these include, Premier pro, Avid, and final cut, avid has always been a strong editing software in the industry, but as some technology rises and falls premier pro is just edging the gap into the industry, as regular updates of this software make it the better choice for editing films together as different filters, transitions and bugs with in the software are updated, for the software to be crisp. Final cut on the other hand is mostly use by educational establishments for training people to use software like this in the future as in the last few years final cut has dropped down in consumer use as it is not been updated and is less consumer friendly for use then premier and avid, This is reason for it being used in education.

The surrounding environment easily and biologically affects human beings. Media is one of the aspects that people can easily approach. Human beings are influenced by what they see, hear, or read on the news. Today we have several sources to receive news: newspapers, internet, and radio. However, with this information people come to question what is truly the truth. The Cable News Network (CNN) displays footage of current events happening all around the world. This well-known 24-hour news broadcasting system began to change its traditional pattern of news began to encapsulate the way media directs the foreign policy formulation. For the individuals behind the scenes, including policy makers and academics, the 1990’s was a time of media empowerment and growth. Piers Robinson thesis in the “CNN effect revisited” is the ways in which the media influences foreign policy formulation, socially and politically. Control Room places an emphasis on an Arab news network’s coverage of the war between Iraq and the United States that began in 2003; the news network is known as Al Jazeera. This news network was founded in 1996, and had been called by the Bush administration “the mouthpiece of Osama bin Laden” (Noujaim, 2004). From what this film had depicted, the viewer can see that Al Jazeera is a news network worthy of attention, and not only because of its controversial topics, but because of the information it releases to the rest of the world that most do not regularly see due to biases within news media outlets. Because it appears clear that biases are imminent within the film, I had become more interested in how and why Al Jazeera had become such a tainted name within the industry and under fire for the information they bring to the masses.

If there is a strong leader, new media can gather groups together to protest conflicts, raise money, and hold meetings with governments. It can connect people internationally, giving humanity the ability to communicate to others about the importance of a particular conflict. The more people helping to bring peace and prevent future crises, the easier it will be to end the conflict. ‘[R]eal leverage for human rights and peace will come when the people who benefit from war will pay a price for the damage they caused’ (Trussel 1). Youtube videos can be used to leverage peace because they raise awareness. They can be shared instantly, not only on Youtube itself, but on other social media sites, therefore expanding the window of viewers. They show firsthand evidence of conflicts. Facebook is the perfect medium to form humanitarian groups, protest, and connect the world to crises. It can be a tool for peacebuilding by using hashtags like ‘Team Darfur’ to gather individuals to discussions pertaining to the Darfur Crisis. Creating pages to raise money for a crisis or to discuss ways to bring humanitarian groups into areas of conflict is another method that can be used. Clearly, no matter what the conflict is, new media can be used by everyone to raise awareness about crises and to influence the world to help build peace and prevent future

Over the centuries, the media has played a significant role in the shaping of societies across the globe. Johan Pouwelse, a professor at Delft University and a technological company founder, has written several articles (Pouwelse) that stress the dangers of filtering the internet. One such article is “Moving Toward a Censorship-free Internet,” which was published in the Internet Engineering Task Force Journal (IETF). In this article, Pouwelse references the Arab Spring, which was a set of revolutions that took place throughout the Arab world in 2011 and 2012 and resulted in overthrows of oppressive governments. In nearly all the affected nations, dissenters used Twitter and Facebook to organize their protests and planned outcries (Heins).
