Can Liquids be Compressed?

Answer – For most practical purposes, liquids are treated as incompressible substances.

Explanation:

Liquids can be compressed, but to a much lesser extent than solids. This is because the molecules in liquids are packed together very tightly, making it difficult to compress them any further. Only when high pressure is applied can a liquid be compressed by a small amount.
