What is an Acute Equilateral Triangle?

Answer – An acute equilateral triangle is one in which all angles are acute and equal.

Explanation:

In an acute triangle, all three angles measure less than 90°. In other words, they are acute.

In an equilateral triangle, all angles are equal. Since the angles of any triangle always add up to 180°, each one in an equilateral triangle = 180°/3 = 60°.

An acute equilateral triangle is therefore one whose properties combine those of acute and equilateral triangles. Thus, all its angles measure less than 90° and are equal. Such a triangle also has all sides of the same length.

Below is an illustration of an acute equilateral triangle:

Acute equilateral triangle ABC with equal angles measuring 60 degrees each and equal sides with length equal to a

All equilateral triangles are acute triangles. Every angle in these always measures 60°, which is an acute angle.

Acute triangles, however, are not always equilateral. They could instead be isosceles (with two sides and two angles equal) or scalene (with all sides unequal).
