Expert Solution
Step 1 Molarity

Given, mass of methanol = 50 g

         Molar mass of methanol = 32.04 g/mol

        Volume of solution = 500 ml or 0.5 ltr

          Molarity = no. of moles of soluteVolume of solution (ltr)

          Molarity = 50/32.04500/1000

                        = 1.560.5 = 3.12 M
