The forces acting on the top block are the tension force T1 acting upward , the gravitational weight of the block 1 acting downwards, which is  ,F1=M1g and the tension force of second block T2 acting downwards , where M1=4.1 kg is the mass and g=9.8 m/s2 is the acceleration due to gravity . Thus , T1=T2+M1g .

 

The forces acting in the second block are tension force of the block T2, acting upwards , the gravitational weight of the block 2 acting downwards, which is  ,F2=M2g and the support force F=22 N acting upwards , where M2=4.3 kg is the mass of the block . Thus  , T2+F=M2g
