Application Questions: 1) Two taster parents produce both homozygous taster and non-taster children. What must be the genotype of both parents in order for this to happen? 2) Two non-taster parents can only have non-taster children. Why? 3) Can two homozygous taster parents have non-taster children? Why or Why not?

PTC Tasting: Complete this exercise with a partner.
PTC (phenylthiocarbamide) is a bitter-tasting chemical found in some plants. Similar chemicals are
found in broccoli and grapefruit. PTC is not found is human food, but if it was, it would be a powerful
deterrent to eating that food.
PTC tasting is a dominant trait. People who can taste PTC very strongly are called "supertasters".
Most people (about 70% of most populations) are "tasters", but about 30% of any random group usually
is made up of "non-tasters".
For this experiment, let's assume that your genotype for this trait is Tt (heterozygous)
We will assume that your partner's genotype is tt (homozygous recessive)
Complete the following Punnett Square with your and your partner's genotypes for PTC tasting:
