Oman Oil Company opens a new petrol station in Samail and it is known as Samail One Stop Station. The new petrol station not only offers petrol but also has a hypermarket that sells groceries,
clothes, kid's entertainment and other home items. Apart from that, the new station also has a restaurant, a car wash, a pharmacy, and a bakery which all of the shops belong to the Oman Oil
Company.
To manage 100 employees and the business operation of Samail One Stop Station effectively, Mr. Hudaifa, the General Manager of Samail One Stop Station, created an organizational
structure based on the different work activities in the company. However, he is still waiting for the structure to be approved by the Oman Oil head office in Muscat and in fact, it is the head office
policy that he should get the approval for every decision he makes. While waiting for the approval, Mr. Hudaifa sent a proposal to the head office on changing the decision making policy to allow
him to make decisions without relying on the head office approval.
