Question

Bring out the differences between a cephalochordate and an agnathan regarding circulatory system?

Expert Solution
Step 1

The cephalochordate is an animal in Cephalochordata subphylum. These are segmented marine organisms that have an elongated body with a notochord and it extends the body length. These organisms are small and consist of no hard parts that make difficulty in finding fossils.

Agnatha is the jawless fishes and belongs to the phylum Chordata. The modern agnathans do not have paired fins. The notochord is present in the larva and adult. There is a presence of more than seven-gill pouches.
