Expert Solution
Step 1

Solution:- Given Reaction:- Mg(OH)2 + HCl  MgCl2 + H2O

                 Balanced Chemical Equation:- Mg(OH)2 + 2HCl  MgCl2 + H2O

According to Balanced Chemical Equation => 1 mol of Mg(OH)2 reacts with  2mol of HCl or 1 mol of Mg(OH)2 neutralizes 2 mol of HCl.
