Molar heat capacity of N2O4 = 79.2 J/K .mol

molar heat capacity of  NO2 = 37.2  J/K.mol

standard entropy of N2O4 at 298K=304.29 J/K.mol 

standard entropy of NO2 at 298K = 240.06 J/K.mol

we have to find Delta S of a reaction ?

 

Step 2

delta S° = S°N2O4 - 2× S°NO2

              = 304.29 - 2× 240.06

             = -175.83 J/mol.K

Delta Cp = Cp N2O4 - 2 × Cp NO2

                =  79.2 - 2 × 37.2

               = 4.8 J/K.mol
