Assuming y concentration of A reacts to reach equilibrium 

Hence concentration of D formed at equilibrium = [D] =  2y

And concentration of A remaining at equilibrium = [A] = initial - reacted = 0.48 - y

Since the equilibrium constant Kc <<<< 1 

Hence negligible concentration of A will react.

Hence [A] = 0.48 - y = 0.48 M approx
