Expert Answer

Step 1

Solution:

It is given that the probability that a given computer will not crash in a day is 0.62 and 95 out of 160 computers will not crash in a day.

Let the random variable X be the number of computer will not crash

Given that n=160 and p=0.62

Checking condition 1:

 np=160(0.62)=99.2>5

The condition 1 was satisfied.

Checking condition 2:

 n(1-p)=160(1-0.62)=60.8>5

The condition 2 also was satisfied.

The both conditions are satisfied so binomial distribution approximated to normal distribution.

The...
