The electrostatic force of attraction between the oppsitely charged ions that holds them together is known as ionic bond. The compounds that contain ionic bonds are called ionic compounds. The given cation and anion to form the compound is  K+ and F- respectively.  Further, transpose the charge of cation to become the subscript of anion and the charge of the anion to become the subscript of cation. Since on transposing, the number of cations and anions formed is one.
