To find- The minimum value of the above function in the interval -2,1.

Concept Used- To find the minimum value of the function , first find the stationary point by f'x=0 and then find f"x and substitute the stationary point and check the condition if f"x>0 , then at that stationary point , the function will  have minimum value.

Explanation- Rewrite the given function,

    fx=6x2+7x-24

Now, differentiate both sides, w.r.t. x, we get,

    f'x=6·2x+7·1-0       =12x+7            1

Now, to find the value of stationary point, substitute f'x=0, we get,

12x+7=0       12x=-7          x=-712

Now, differentiate both sides, w.r.t. x, we get,

     f"x=12

As f"x>0, so we can conclude that at  x=-712 the function will give minimum value.
