           C2H6 + O2  CO2 + H2O

The above reaction is not in balanced form.

Number of moles of C2H6 are taken = 3 

In combustion reaction 1 mole of carbon reacts with 1 mole of O2 to give 1 mole of CO2.

     C + O2  CO2

Number of moles of carbon present in 1 mole of C2H6 is 2.

So in 3 moles of  C2H6 there are 6 moles of carbon present.

So, the number of moles of CO2 can be produced is 6 moles.
