The current mission which planned to study the atmosphere of the Venus is named Akatsuki, also called Venus Climate Orbiter (VCO). This probe was designed by Japan.

It carries five different cameras that are supposed to respond to a different wavelength. This mission planned to study the atmospheric dynamics, cloud dynamics, and the stratification of the atmosphere.

Step 2

Observation provides surface and cloud imaging from an orbit around the planet by the help of cameras working in the visible, infrared, and ultraviolet wavelength to study the dynamic Venus meteorology and to elucidate the mechanism behind the enigmatic super-rotation of the atmosphere. There are certain tests are planned to confirm the presence of flashes and determine the existence of the volcanism.
