Now, if two cards are dealt successively and without replacement, without any constrains imposed on them, the first card can be any of the 52 cards in the deck; due to the dealing without replacement, the second card can be any of the remaining 51 cards (after the first one is dealt, there remains 51 more cards).

So, when dealing two cards successively, without replacement and without any constraint, the total number of possible outcomes is (52 × 51) = 2,652.
