The Mystery of Legionnaire's Disease -The bicentennial convention of the American Legion was held in Philadelphia in 1976 at the elegant but aging Bellevue Stratford Hotel. Toward the end of the conference, a number of the attendees were suffering from flulike symptoms, and 4 days after leaving Philadelphia, an Air Force veteran died from pneumonia. During the next week, 30 additional Legionnaires who had been at the conference died from what became known as Legionnaire's Disease. Theories ranged from viral pneumonia to terrorism (before this became a popular alternative) to a communist plot (after all, these were mostly veterans who died). Conduct a research and answer the following: a) find the cause of the Legionnaire's Disease; b) explain how this disease spread in the hotel and come into contact with the Legionnaires (attendees) c) explain how this event can be prevented in the future.
