What is the difference between H+ and H-?

Essentially hydrogen atom is made up of one proton that is present in the nucleus, it does not have electrons like other atoms, the electron is removed in this case to get H+. This is the reason why H+ most of the times is called a proton.
On the other hand H- is called hydride ion.
