CH4(g) + 2O2 (g)  --->  CO2(g) + 2H2O(g)

∆H°rxn= -802.3 kJ

Since, because the Hrxn is negative, 802.3 KJ of heat is being emited when one mole of CH4 undergoes combustion. (The one mole comes from the balanced chemical equation.)

However, because we only want to produce 276kJ, you need to figure out how many moles of CH4 are needed to produce that heat.
