amount of TiO2 available = 1.598g79.87g/mol = 0.2001molTiO2

For one mole of TiO2 there exist 2molofO and amount of O2=0.04002mol

After heating with hydrogen gas, mass of TiO2 = 1.428g

So there was loss in mass of oxygen in Titanium oxide compound, which is equivalent to 1.598g1.428g=0.17g

To find the empirical formula of new titanium oxide amount of remaining oxygen should be known.
