One of these great sculptures is called the Gates of Hell, created by Auguste Rodin who was influenced by Dante Alighieri’s, Inferno. In the beginning of Canto 3 of the Inferno, Dante and Virgil are about to walk through the gates to the underworld. Although the entrance is referred to as an arch in the Inferno this gave Rodin a blank slate to work with. Auguste Rodin was older when he started this sculpture and passed away before he could finish. His Gates have about two hundred miniature sculptures

some are more memorable than others. Both Viola Desmond and Bill Gates have both created a large impact on the world, but Viola Desmond’s work was far more superior in my opinion compared to Bill Gates. Racial Segregation is more of an impact than creating Microsoft a company. They had many accomplishments and helped people with what they believe is right thus resulting to be a big part of history. Both Viola Desmond and Bill Gates have accomplished their goals that affected many other lives. Viola

How Steve Jobs and Bill Gates Changed the World When you think of Steve Jobs, you think about the IPhone, IPad, IPod, IMac, and much more. When you think of Bill Gates, you think about the richest man in the world, Microsoft, and XBOX. Some of these things we use in our daily lives. Since the moment you were born, death has been in that far corner of your life for some time, waiting for the right moment to take your life. Death is inevitable, and cannot be avoided. Since the beginning of time, people have many different ways of going about the idea of death and what the afterlife may hold for them, whether they’ll be reunited with family and friends or if they’ll be reincarnated or, maybe nothing at all. Anthropology: An Intimate Ethnography I remember it like it was yesterday. I was driving to Mount Shasta with my friend, Marley, and her parents for the weekend. It was about a four-and-a-half-hour car ride full of two eight year olds giggling in the back of the car and two parents blasting Disney radio in the front seats. Marley’s mom’s phone rings and she picks it up as we continue to sing our young hearts out to the Jonas Brothers. All of a sudden my friend and I hear her mother shriek with

Driving across the golden gate bridge is a sight to see. Well it is a site o see if you can see through the layers of thick fog and if your car sat up high enough you could see out over the bridge. The air was not freezing, but there was a chill in the breeze that gave me goose bumps. Driving down crooked roads, and eating the sourdough bread instead of the soup inside it are special memories. It was a few days in San Francisco last summer that gave me a love for somewhere other than home. Being

Story: The thick and dense San Francisco fog twists and turns between the magnificent arches of the Golden Gate Bridge; my father’s old 4RUNNER cuts through the intimidating fog like a hot knife through butter. It is August 28th, 2012; the first day at my new school, Stuart Hall for Boys. My heart flutters as the pistons of my father's car drive me into the unknown. That day the Golden Gate Bridge was my desert, my limbo, my passage from Pharaoh’s reign into The Promise Land. But, who knows, across

back at the top with Bill Gates as the richest man in the world, worth about $76 billion (“Forbes Billionaires”). It seems that even though the amount of billionaires has increased, there are people who still live in poverty. As reported by Forbes (2014), America’s wealth is shrinking because of falling home prices. Rises in home prices help the middle class; while the rise in stock prices help the rich. Wealth inequality has a negative and significant effect on
