explorers are known by many, Lewis and Clark. Although, there is one explorer that is less known but explored just as much area as Lewis and Clark. Zebulon Pike started his expedition of the Louisiana Purchase shortly after Lewis and Clark. Zebulon Montgomery Pike was born on July 5, 1779 in Lamberton, New Jersey. His father was Zebulon Montgomery Pike, who served in the Revolutionary Army, and his mother was Isabella Brown. Zebulon was the second of eight children. Since he was raised in a military
Zebulon Pike, an early American soldier and avid explorer, is largely unknown and often forgotten, despite his relentless exploration of early America. Lewis and Clark are often credited with being the greatest explorers of their time, but Zebulon Pike proves to be just as fearless as his two preceding explorers. While serving as an army lieutenant, Pike was nominated by General James Wilkinson to “lead an expedition to find the source of the Mississippi River.” Although Pike did not find the
Pikes Peak is a beautiful, rocky mountain with a fantastic view. As my family and I started driving up the mountain the sun makes me squint like lemon juice squirted me in the eyes. Heading up the mountain is frightening as the car goes around and around right on the edge of the cliff. The drive feels like a slow amusement park ride. First, it's a beautiful pine tree forest lookout. It rows of pines trees rising up the mountain. Once we reached out of the forest, there's a bunch of cliffs and coming

The Double Bunny Pike Fly is an extremely effective fly for northern pike. There are many different colour and tying variations of the bunny leech. This style in the color red works well in my part of the world. Pike seem to have a thing for the colour red, it triggers their aggression. 1) These are the materials I use for my double bunny pike fly. Comparable materials can be used but the action may vary. 2) Secure your hook in the vice and tie in your red thred. Wrapping the full length

everyday life is of my highest priorities. My commitment to this fraternity is unquestionable; I have attended four PIKE University events despite only being a member for a little over a year. I attend these events to better myself, my fraternity, and my community. I know that I can best represent the undergraduate members of our fraternity through the lessons and experiences I gained at PIKE University events. Attendance at these events provides exposure to multiple chapters and the trials and tribulations
Pike Place Market in Seattle, is one of my favorite places to visit. It is part of the historic district in Seattle and is only closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas day. The rest of the year you can find a great meal at one of over 80 restaurants, the perfect gift or souvenir from one of their many owner-operated shops, and you can even find food and flowers for your daily home needs. Pike’s was originally opened as a farmers market in 1907 and today, 110 years later it is so much more than a place
