In order for me to complete this career assessment paper, I initially took an Interest Inventory survey. Upon completing this process, it revealed that my personality profile score was (I, C, A). These three letters represented my strengths and interests in determining which career field would best suit me.

In taking the assessment of the student's personality, I discovered my psychological type was ISFJ. The assessment indicated that I was the sensing type. The sensing type represents perception or the gathering of information. While readings the description of sensing/intuition, I was surprised at how precise the characteristics were. I agree that I am the type of individual that appreciates clear direction. I indeed prefer specific answers to questions and become frustrated with vague answers. I also like the mystery of what, why, how, and where questions?

Reflecting on my skills, I believe I have excellent social, communication and language skills. These skills are essential in any customer-facing or team work oriented job. As explained by Morgeson, F. P. et al. in “Selecting individuals in team settings: The importance of social skills, personality characteristics, and teamwork knowledge.” (2005):

With the results of the Profile Scores, I do agree that it identified me accurately. My top three scores were conventional, investigative, and social. When someone is conventional, that person likes to follow set guidelines and routines. Also, they prefer working with information and paying attention to details instead of coming up with ideas. Investigative people like to search for facts or figure out problems. They like to think rather than doing physical work and typically work well with a leader. Lastly, people with social interest like to work with people more than working with objects or by themselves. They typically like to give advice, teach, or even be of service to people. Although I feel I do not completely identify with each score, I can attest that all three of these scores does identify me

Intuition 'N': I usually pay most attention to the meanings of facts and how they fit together. I prefer to use my imagination to come up with different ways and possibilities to do things. I like solving new problems and dislike doing the same thing over and over, I enjoy learning new skills more than practicing old skills. I am impatient with details and don't mind complicated situation.

Meeting schedule, attendance expectations, agenda, assignment completion, Communication methods (text message), be on time, give 100% attention. Consider our tight time frame when setting the deadlines for assignments. Each team member must submit their portion of assignment before due date. We will treat each other with respect and good manners at all times. Good Communication and Notify all team members of absence, cancellations of scheduled meetings or emergencies.

Some key personality concepts that define who I am is introvert, intuitive, intuitive feeling, and judging. Introverted intuition allows me to appreciate a better clarity of perception of inner unconscious techniques.
