What young children learn at an early age can affect future learning in elementary school. With that being said early childhood educators have an impact on children 's learning during the first year of schooling. For instance, in a daycare-type setting toddlers learn to work together, they learn to share, and they learn to cooperate. Concepts such as these, though not limited to, are concepts that are not just used when they are first learned. As children grow up learning to work together, share, and cooperate would help in being successful in school and outside of school.
I did not previously intend to graduate early but due to circumstances beyond my control, I decided it would be best for me to use the time I would spend in my second semester working and setting aside money for college. I had most of my graduation requirements completed from my previous high school and by the time I enrolled in my current high school many of the classes I had planned to take were already filled.

As a future early childhood educator, I took it upon myself to get a better understanding of what my future would look like. I began working at the Boys and Girls Club in the early childhood education program, and it has been one of the most beneficial and inspirational parts of my life. While there, I have worked with children who come from completely opposite sides of the socioeconomic, language, and development spectrums.
While reading our required publications, writing other assignments for this course, and conversing with you amongst my fellow classmates in an open forum, without judgment one realizes yet, once again, one still has so much to learn as a young developing teacher. Unfortunately, many children endure the effects of tough family situations. While some are taken from their homes and placed in foster care others remain with their parents simply because the state prides itself in keeping families together although it may not be in the child’s best interest. As a result, these children grow up believing that they deserve to be treated poorly. They assume that the behavior of their parents is acceptable since family services, such as Children and Youth, allow the situation to remain as it was before they got involved. Due to experience and multiple visits from Children and Youth, I understand that they do what they can to help but their intentions often do not result in the desired outcome. There are children
