The OR is naturally a high risk environment, surgery naturally exposes staff to patient blood and body fluids, involves the handling of sharp instruments, and the close interactions of the surgical team within a limited amount of space (Jagger et al., 2011). Operations involve the types of sharps; trocars, some surgical instruments, saws, drills, reamers, and some suture needles and scalpel blades that may not easily be replaced with Safety Engineered Devices (SED’s) (Guest, Kable, & McLeod, 2010). The majority of sharps injuries within the OR result from handling sharps, such as needles, blades and sharp instruments hand-to-hand (Jagger et al., 2011).

On February 2nd & 3rd, 1980 one of the maximum security prisons in New Mexico experienced one of the most violent riots in the history of American Correctional System. This is often referred to as The New Mexico State Penitentiary Riot. The riot lasted for 36 hours, and in those 36 hours there were 33 deaths. There was one other inmate who dies a couple of months later due to the injuries incurred in that riot. It is estimated that about 200 inmates were severely injured or raped in the riot. Carl Gustav Jung was born on July 26th 1875. He was born to Paul Achilles Jung and Emilie Preiswerk in the town of Kesswil, Switzerland. Jung was the 4th child born but the only child that survived. His family life was strained, and his mother spent the majority of her time locked in her room, where she said that spirits visited her at night. When the family moved to Laufen his mother was hospitalized due to an unknown physical ailment. Jung was sent to live with his mother 's unmarried sister, but was later sent back home to his father. The stressful relationship with his mother in his early life influenced Jung’s attitude towards women, one he describes as being “of innate unreliability". This was a view that he later referred to as the "handicap I started off with."

After considering my above feelings and thoughts I realised that by being aware of the time I spent on the risk assessment, I was able to keep it as necessary and as concise as I had hoped for. Previously I have ran out of time completing the full assessment, meaning that the ending of the assessment is typically missed off. According to Westbrook et al (2007) five or ten minutes is required at the end of treatment to conclude and set up a homework task. Although at the time I was feeling anxious and nervous; attempting to keep track of the time allowed me to achieve the assessment in the time I had allocated myself.

It was a friday afternoon I was up to perform on a new television show. In my town i was well known for my magic acts. Iam known as the second Houdini. The producers of the show came to one of my acts and they thought it was splendid so they told me to perform for their television show, of course I gladly accepted! Jung made some major contributions in psychotherapy. Jung was the first to say that a therapist himself must be analyzed (Storr, 1991). He also saw patients less times a week then Freud did (Storr, 1991). He stated that he did not want his patients to stop living their normal everyday lives.
